Delighted to see this review. Am actually gonna be trying out the periprobbe lens on a documentary shoot tomorrow. Hopefully that'll go smoothly, and I really want to give it a go on some wildlife stuff too but will have to wait for the weekend for that. Need to borrow a motorised slider to get the most out of it Id say.
@@StewartWoodArt Hey Stewart. Thanks for the quick reply! Are you able to expand on that a little? The non-periprobe Laowa is used for still quite a bit (although it's not a cine lens). I guess, is there a certain aspect of the cine version that makes it not ideal for photos. I only ask because I'm a multimedia shooter and while I'll probably mostly use the periprobe for video, would still like to use it for stills as well if possible. Thanks for any insight you can provide!
Hello @Stewart Wood , I loved this video. I have purchased the Laowa Peribrobe but I have a small beginner's doubt. When I install the 90º module the image appears inverted like a "mirror" effect, and it only happens with the 90º module. Is this correct? It would be a great help to me if you or someone in the comments could answer this question for me. Thank you very much in advance. Greetings.

Id love to get one,
Nice review, Stewart. I've wanted that lens for years. Do I *need* it? No, but I sure do want it. If I had access to it, I'd fine some great uses.
I love it for the unique look it gets.
Great review! Any indication on how this lens performs for shooting stills?
I wouldn’t use it for stills to be honest.

I have the the probe RF for Canon, would love to have the option of the periscope but unfortunately it isn't possible.

I honesty can't remember it was last year but if it is "mirrored" just flip it in post.
@@StewartWoodArt Great!, thank you very much for answering 😊
Hi sir, I just got periprobe recently but my shot periprobe seems to be inverse. I wonder if this is normal or how it supposed to look.
1:40 Save the weevil!
Excellent video :)
Thanl mate.
Will a focus pull from macro to infinity look just the same as any other lens? Or do the odd optics make the focus pull look wonky?
I never noticed any issues.
@@StewartWoodArt can confirm--used this on a shoot and the focus pull to infinity looked just fine. Thanks.
