I’ve become such a huge Phantom fan these last few years. ❤
Wow. Such an underrated year but by far one of the best I’ve ever heard. Only complaint is that I can’t get homework done
It so cool to me to see a person compliment a corps and then go on to march with that corps!
This is one of those shows that I just wish I could transport myself back in time and march.
God I wish Phantom still played on Kings.
apachedann1 flashing forward to 2020, we now play on Kings again :)
@@jalakor yikes, 2020
This high brass is killer. That has to be one of the best trumpet lines ever heard. Period. That mello part goes HARD.
Love this show. One of my favorites musically.
👌🎼🎶❤🎶🎼👌
I say this as a lover of Astor Piazzolla and all his work. You guys better do a great job.
I enjoy the entire show but. The last 20 secs! Power!!!! Nasty!!!! YEAH!!! Great sound.
😎😅😌😅😎
If I remember correctly the marimba player teched scv’s front ensemble the past handful of seasons. I got him a care package when the tour of champions came up to Stanford after finals, his mom gave me info on cheap airfare back to Tidewater, Virginia where we were from. Gave his gf a care package the next season when PR came out west in the early season too.
Yes, you’re likely referring to section leader K.J. Stafford and his girlfriend (now spouse) Lanah. Great people, awesome marching with them (I went to school with K.J. as well, amazing player).
!!!THIS SHOW WAS PURE RAW ENERGY!!!
My band is playing this music this coming season. Altered a bit for High School level, but it's still such good music
Buzzcutbob really?? Is there a video of your show?? Would love to see it!
what a sound
wow...haven't seen this recording in years. Used to own it on dvd somewhere years ago. Corey Boise and Jonathan Morrell were our drum techs at our High School all through my years on drumline. Although J Mo was already a Phantom veteran at this point
I'm pretty sure the Mello at 0.52 is my band director.
One of the Tenors is mine.
Our former band director is the base drum on the left at 7:32
thats my college!
☺
Are those mello falls in the opener intentional? I love this show and the hornline sounds great, but those falls are awful - they sound so terribly out of place.
It's okay. Our field show is music man. -____-
Well season just ended and we did pretty well with the music I think, but it was a very meh season
Dorks.. lol
