I am Garífuna (black Indigenous) and I’m so thankful that you went and visited our communities, there are plenty of garífuna villages, I’m from Triunfo de la Cruz it’s probably about 3-5 hours away from Trujillo.

I am Honduran. I am happy to see you enjoying the country and some of its hidden treasures. Although archeologists are unsure of who the skulls belong to, they more than likely belong to the Pech. The Pech are a Chibchan group who have resided within that region of Honduras for thousands of years. The cave may also be connected to a legendary pre-columbian city, called La Ciudad Blanca, that has yet to be unearthed from the depths of the rainforest. The city is also likely to belong to the Pech who have guarded its location for centuries. Pre-columbian Honduran history is quite fascinating, because it is rich and mysterious. For instance, there are subterranean tunnels, ancient ball courts and artifacts around the country. It was also the meeting point between Meso-American and South American cultures. Additionally, if you're still in Honduras, I hope you try a baleada (handmade flour tortillas filled beans & dairy etc) and a bowl of coconut conch soup or sopa de caracol.

I had a very strange experience in Copan. Perhaps, it would be relevant for you.
Are you an indigenous? Your name seems to be Mosquitia. Forgive me if I'm wrong. The area always intrigued me. I did explore Copan and spoke at length with the old caretaker at that time.
He had many interesting facts he shared with me. I'm gently psychic and the area left a huge impression on me, as in a past life with memories of war and violence. I believe the old man sensed this and spent hours speaking with me.

-Deep fried Red Snapper Fish.
-Rice & Beans made with coconut milk.
-Fried Plantains Slices/chips
-Salad lettuce, tomatoes & cucumbers.

Noraly is a very special person. Notice how, no matter where she is, who she runs into, what befalls her, what the weather is, or how out of the way she needs to go, she find beauty and cherishes the experiences, good and bad. So true. In the middle of nowhere, alone, she had a flat tyre. Her first reaction was a giggle. she never complains. endearing personality. I made sure both my teenage daughters watch her videos, they can learn a lot from her.
I think you mean it IS a better place. Very well said. I've shared this channel with people who are not fans of motorcycling or adv touring and they love it. It's hard not to be a fan of someone so authentic and positive.

The drone view of Noraly crossing the flat terrain covered in palms was spectacular. I especially liked the information about the Garifuna people, who I knew nothing about. The Talgua Caves also sent me to Wikipedia for more info. I love historical and geographical information that sends me to the Google maps or Wikipedia for more detail. It is a great learning experience.
A little sad seeing the palm plantation but I suppose it's a fact of life around there.
Yes, oil palms are the death of biodiversity in much of the tropics.
Yes, you see the oil palms in much of South East Asia too, like in Malaysia, where they stretch from horizon to horizon, replacing the wonderful
tropical rainforest that was there before.

You said just what I wanted to say. The palm trees were beautiful.
These are no forests though but plantations. Before these trees were planted these areas were all real forest. Palm plantations are in essence a dessert for most species and while green, greatly reduce biological diversity.
Unfortunately palm oil is in almost every product imaginable.

It’s amazing how many times you wind up in these incredible places that could easily be over trampled tourist traps & yet you’re one of the few people, if not the only one there & then get treated to a personal solo tour! The Honduran people are very welcoming when they see a tourist. They are proud of their culture, history, and their beautiful country. Don’t always believe what you see in the news.

Amazing tour of Honduran landscape today! Deep in the cave are calcified human bones dating 900 years before Christ. Astonishingly, the skulls glow in the after-flash of her camera. Only Noraly could find such sacred wonders and also show beautiful drone footage of tree agriculture, find a delicious fish for lunch, and find a safe place to stay the night, all the while crossing rivers and jungle trails talking us through the coastal environment used by the Spanish conquistadors. A well-researched and well lived day. How spectacular!

There is only one drawback to your travels...they make my motorcycle travels pale by comparison . Us men are too tied to our jobs . I did wait until I was 27 to get married and that was a gift and a privilege . My wife passed of cancer at 40 ( A fine person ) . But my son , his wife and beautiful granddaughter are the light of my life . You are an amazing person Norally and you certainly know how to live . I'm wondering if in the damp cave a phyto-plankton exists that covers the calcite and, just as large ships stir up the phyto-plankton, the camera's flash causes the same reaction? Itchy Boots, as always combining the best of outstanding videography, travel adventure, science and mystery. A video post that earns a 15 on a scale of 10.
Hey Richard. How are you? Would you please let me know if you find out more about what makes the skulls glow? It was amazing. I have never seen human bones do this process. I live in central California next to a volcano with lots of geology I am still learning about. I sometimes find stones that glow when I put ultra-violet light on them. I have some calcite I want to try to make glow. Cool stuff! Great channel, huh? I love it.
@@MrZog-yv3be As I wrote, it would get the science geeks pondering. That's a good theory. I'm a geologist and have never known calcite to fluoresce but the absorbing/emitting at different wave lengths is fascinating. Hmmm, now that I think of it, fluorite, which is CAF2 as opposed to calcite Ca CO3, could be present and it is called fluorite because.... it fluoresces... By jove, I think we've done it!!

Honduras is one of the best kept secrets of the world. And most people are very loving and caring people. Honduras has my heart forever.
The Talgua Caves were really interesting. I could tell you were intrigued about the village four hours away. Another time. or maybe for someone else. Honduras is much more beautiful than I thought. Norely you really bring out the natural beauty where ever you go.
Geology and anthropology at its best. Expedition continues. Those skulls illuminated like radioactive materials but probably all that could be because of phosphorus. Someone can Justify that in case otherwise. Well done Noraly.

Some of the most incredible experiences of my life were when I spent time with Garifuna families in the Bronx in NYC which is supposedly where one of the largest populations of Garinagu is. My Garifuna friends would always show me pictures of these villages in Honduras after they would take trips back. I'm so glad you went to visit them! I recommend trying to attend a Dugu ceremony, although filming won't be allowed. Anyway, so cool to see this in your videos, I wasn't expecting it!
Joining your big trip by watching your videos makes my personal horizon so much wider and educated me to be so much more "open minded" to other and especially foreign people.

Ive been there. Last December I drove from around Honduras and undoubtedly the most beautiful road views are from Olancho to Trujillo. There's a spot im San Esteban, Olancho that you can see waterfalls fall from the top of a mountain to the bottom. It's called "cascadas El Carbon".

I lived in Honduras for six years. You should head to La Cieba then take the ferry to Isla de Roatan. It is a beautiful island with some amazing beaches and coral reefs surrounding it.

That cave is a stonker indeed! If there weren't tales of dragons yet, the carnassial tooth-shaped stalagnites there would inspire them. It's easy to see how one could get the idea of being walking into the mouth of a huge raptor there.

That is African Palm plantation, used for cooking oil and other products.

It’s a plantation. There are plenty of those plantations in South East Asian countries and also in Afrika.
