Crazy story. I found this script or copy of it, in a restroom at a hotel before this aired. I was part of a group driving VIPS at the Napa Valley Wine Auction. I just remember finding it and was shocked someone could write such a dogshit script and have it be read at something like this. I dunno why, looked this up to see if maybe i dreamt it...but there it is. Really shows how much actors can bring life to terrible writing the way some writing gives life to terrible actors. But although it was extremely cheesy, it wasnt as cringey as i had imagined when i found it in that restroom. I did not drive her, and maybe saw hee briefly but her assistant was of course needy and entitled. Also this was exactly how the script was, there was no straying from it. I think i even still have it somewhere.
Just last night I watched this and was thinking how ageless she was. RIP Carol Channing, you were one of a kind
