I just got the 22 model of this truck. Going with a similar wheel / tire setup but a 4" Cognito lift and Fox shocks
Went a different route, put a 5.5 inch lift with RC Vertex reservoir shocks. 37x12.50 Pro Comp Xtreme MT2 tires. Black Rhino Abrams 20x10 wheels. Even put the speed turtle on it from this video lol. Its a beast.
@@ohdeergod how you like those Abrams? Since those wheels has less air flow, how’s the braking? I want to get those wheels, but waiting for the summer deals.

Those are Black Rhino Armory, probably the -12 offset. Sweet wheels but are on 3 month national back order as of today.
FYI if you push the start button for 10 to 15 seconds without touching the break, everything on the dash will work.

@@Espinal_424 you can turn on lights or listen to the radio for more than 10 minutes, run your windshield wiper. Everything electrical runs without the engine.
I pick mine up in a couple weeks, 2022 3500 HD Duramax blacked out, having a 6.5" lift installed, 37's on 20" reaper rims gonna be a sweet field office

Only complaint is how the tailgate hits the hitch when you drop it down. My AT4 HD has this same issue.

Put it under your pillow, look at it everyday, like every single day. I've seen the 2021 high country duramax with a 6inch lift kit install. 9 months ago I did this technic every single day I worked my fuckin ass off, watched 7 videos a day. A week ago I've just ordered the 2022verison and the dealer is putting the lift, wheels on it. Gotta go get it you got this if you want it bad mate

I’d be sooo mad. I just ordered an at4 2021 3500 and that’s in thing I’m concerned about. It’s a known issue so I’m not sure why gmc didn’t address this issue. There’s a company that makes a fix for that I believe I saw an advertisement

Whats the lift/wheel & tire specs?
First Time Viewer. Liked your video. You pointed out some important stuff.....mainly the trimming of the front end. That has been a problem on Chevrolet and GMC trucks since 1973......square / rectangle wheel well opening for a round wheel - rim - tire. The proverbial "round peg in a square hole". Makes it difficult to impossible to install a large tire with only a moderate lift. The "center of gravity" is an important concept when driving on uneven terrain off-road. Chevrolet and GMC trucks have VERY POOR Approach Angle, Departure Angle and Breakover Angle...due to low hanging frame rails. These trucks "high center" and end up like a teeter totter off-road. Large / Tall tires provide more ground clearance. It would be much better if the GM engineers would design the wheel wells in a rounded shape...for a round wheel, rim and tire. Those are a few reasons why I ordered a Ford truck. I will have to check out your video on the Ford F250.
yes, that I can say is a huge issue that me and my buddies can relate to very well. why put square wheel wells where a circular tire is gonna be???
@@ProjectJ3 The square / rectangle wheel well is one of numerous reasons why I switched to buying Ford trucks. Granted, I like the General Motors gas engines, but not enough to purchase a 4WD Chevrolet or GMC truck. The 4WD GM trucks have so many issues that greatly inhibit the trucks off-road capability on uneven terrain...especially in mud and snow. So glad Ford came out with the 7.3L gas engine.....I ordered a 2022 F350 7.3L Lariat Tremor.

8:55 - amen, the F250 is king of back seat space. just went from F250 to 2500 AT4, and its noticeably smaller in the back seat. but the AT4 back seat is still big enough.

What about the fugly square / rectangle / 45 degree angle wheel well openings for a round wheel, rim and tire??? And the goofy looking amber lights on the black fender lip moldings? The truck looks like it was designed to star in a cartoon.

Black Rhino Armory rims. They give off the OEM appearance because of the GMC sticker which was added.

You got it backwards! First...I must admit...GM has some nice V8 gas engines. Second...Ford has upped the anty with the big 7.3L gas engine. Third...in short, the Ford F250 Tremor truck is way better off-road than the GMC AT4 truck......and it is not even close!!! The GM engineers cannot build a good 4WD truck. Following is a short list of design flaws...and the reasons why GM 4WD trucks get stuck off-road.
1. IFS Axle - Very Poor Articulation compared to a Solid Front Axle. If the tire is not on the ground...no traction.
2. Very Poor Approach Angle - unable to ascend steep hills
3. Very Poor Departure Angle - unable to descend steep hills.....or severe damage to the rear bumper
4. Very Poor Breakover Angle - truck often becomes a "teeter totter" on uneven ground off-road...because of low hanging frame rails.
5. Very Poor Wheel Well design since 1973. GM engineers design a square / rectangle wheel well for a round wheel. rim and tire. The proverbial "Round Peg in a Square Hole"! Way too much lift is required in order to fit large tires ( 35, 37, etc.)......and too much lift messes up the "Center of Gravity".
As a result, GM 4WD trucks get stuck so easily off-road......especially in mud and snow. It is quite comical to watch Chevrolet and GMC trucks get stuck while the Ford and Dodge trucks drive on down the trail.

Most people say Wheels.....but you said Rims....you are exactly and precisely correct! Tire is mounted on a rim...and then the set is mounted to the wheel. Black Rhino makes several different models (styles) of rims. The rims on this GMC AT4 are the Black Rhino ARMORY.
BTW......all of the bolts are threaded into the rim. Therefore, the bolts can be removed.....and the rims can be painted the body color of the truck. I ordered a 2022 Ford F350 Lariat 7.3L 4WD with ---> Ultimate Package - Black Appearance Package - Tremor Package and all but two options. For numerous reasons...like the Ford much better than the GMC.
