Came across this video by accident...glad I did. 32 years of marriage flashed before me, mostly what Dr. Daly said is true in my case...like men can't read your mind! Lol I only know these things too well however we get married to serve each other and oh boy did we have a deep intimate relationship...oh I miss my soul mate..my hero...my PI was always looking out for me. He passed away 5 months ago. I say thank you Lord Jesus for those beautiful moments we shared.

I always love Dr. Kevin Leman, and I always want to bring myself all I can. I'm divorced, broken and I never conceived any children. I still WANT TO LEARN ALL ABOUT MARRIAGE AND KIDS. We need role models and mentors. Most important, we need prayer and God's word during these hurtful times.

Every one should hear this whether married or especially thinking about getting married!!
Seriously funny but at the same time seriously informative and could save your relationship!

I so related to Jean when she said that she was struggling with self esteem & it set her mindset for the whole day. I’ve been guilty of this more than once. I really enjoyed this broadcast.

I enjoyed seeing Jean add to a broadcast. She has such a warm smile and personality. I can see how both she and her husband are such a valuable part of the Focus on the Family ministry. Dr. Leman and his sense of humor are always one of my favorite things to read or listen to. It would be interesting to hear his wife on a broadcast sometime too!. I'm constantly working and trying to implement Dr. Leman's advice in our home . . . feels like we always fall so short . . . but haven't given up yet! :)

I appreciate Mrs. Daly’s reflection, that was so real and I’m glad she shared. That sounds like something that I might do, so now I know how to overcome it. I’m not married yet but I will acknowledge my feelings without shame so it doesn’t derail my day. Thank you Jean!

Really identify with Jean Daly feeling insecure at the water park!! Thank you for your transparency!! I often feel this way at these kinds of places and usually just don't go. Hard to share these feelings with my husband because its such a tough subject. When I do go somewhere like this it can leave me feeling off camber the whole time; possibly longer... it's a real thing for woman that we just don't talk about!

There is actually a fifth temperament that has been recently discovered. It's the Supine temperament. It's so meek that it, in a way, gets absorbed into the other temperaments. It's starkly different, though. Another neat thing regarding the temperaments is that each one lines up beautifully with some of Winnie-the-Pooh characters.

@@concken1 perfect love casts out fear... For myself I have trouble figuring out how to perfectly love though. I'm usually reacting out of hurt and fear of living disconnected... the thing that has helped me figure out how to make my own choices instead of reacting to his has been the book "keep your Love on" by Danny silk. Chapter 3 is on love versus fear... I have read a lot of books; that one has actually changed my life and relationships.
But I feel like creating an environment that calms his fear and encourages his effort is the answer. We simply can't do that in our own strength. We're too attached to our own side of the equation. And yet that is the very thing that makes connection possible. Still on the journey of figuring this out myself, but I have learned a lot.

Jim, I quit listening to Dr Daniel Amen (amazing Neuropsychologist) when his wife was on the podcast bc she would not let him talk…….very annoying! I watched you doing the same thing w your wife. You would ask her to tell a certain story & then you would jump in there & tell it. Not sure you realize that you do this (you also did the same to Dr Leman). I just wanted to reach thru my computer & smack you. Go back watch the podcast…..it’s all on video. 🫢
