Thank you sir for the video, I bought a keypad and tried to connect it to my gate opener and screwed up everything, was so worried to get it going again and finally found your video and it worked perfectly. Now I will sleep again. Thanks again.
Although I have a different gate opener, this setup trick worked the same had to press a few times until it programed but it worked. Thanks for the good straight to the point video. 👍
Thank you. I may have gotten instructions slightly wrong, as I have had to add a few more remotes since this video but it still works as described. Glad it helped you
Thank you for your video. Mines somehow got broken so I needed a new circuit board, I'm only seeing universal ones I went ahead and purchase now I have no clue how to connect it. as everything seems different. can you offer any suggestions?
Only seems to work with the remotes from the manufacturer. I also buy my extra remotes on Amazon (where I bought the opener) but I only purchase them from the original seller CO-Z
Unfortunately I do not believe it does. There is a special frequency (433 mHz) I believe, but I have not been able to get it to ever work with any remote other than the manufacturer supplied
I purchased the additional remote directly from the seller I purchased the gate opener from on Amazon. Here's a link the item listing - www.amazon.com/dp/B0197QYJCC/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_JDVMK66H5C6HJH5N71VG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I have questions when you install motor on the left of gate like yours do you have do anything different cause the books says that default on motor is for right side mounting thanks.
I don't remember making any changes other than positioning the stop limit magnets opposite of what the book said. One stops it from opening too far and the other from closing too far. One side is mounted just a couple inches higher than the other. It was little trial and error but pretty easy once I figured it out. When you press the remote, the motor will keep spinning and spinning until one of the magnets crosses by it. When you press the remote again it will stop and just go the other way.
I tried doing this myself. This particular system only works with the remotes purchased directly from the supplier. You can find one here and program it the way I've shown in this video. www.amazon.com/dp/B0197QYJCC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_L4kPFbJTHX6DK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
If sensors you mean the magnetic limit switches, I don't know think so. Adding the remotes is done inside the panel box so if you're adding new or extra remotes you'd just need to have power so you can sync them to the unit.
@@nathanielross1239 This is a brand new install. The magnetic limit switches are installed and work. Hit the learn button and can see when I push the big top button on the remote I see the light lighting up on the control board but the gate doesn't do anything. The manual test works each way open and closes. Not sure why remote won't program.
@@gluc0se the light should flash, then you push the top button on the remote until it syncs. Once it syncs it should start opening and closing. You may have to keep repeating the process. Make you are using the manufacturer supplied remotes, not a 3rd party remote, 3rd party remotes will appear to sync but they just never will.
@@nathanielross1239 Thanks for your help Nathaniel. Once I realized I was trying to program the knockoffs instead of the original remote thanks to your tip I was able to easily get the gate programmed.
Hello, I have the same device. My remote controls are old, I bought a new one 3-4 times, but it did not work. When I press the control, the light turns on, but the door does not close and open. can you help me
I don't know that I can help. It might be a problem with the actual board(computer). I have had to just keep trying over and over sometimes, but as long as you bought the remotes directly from CO-Z it should work. 3rd party remotes with the same frequency just won't work. I've tried myself. Sorry.
Well I can't upload a picture so let me try and explain this best I can. This is assuming using the same sensor I am using. Facing the panel with the covers off.... On the panel you have 2 green plugs at the bottom that the wiring going into the board is hooked to. The one on the left I have nothing plugged into it has 4 slots. The one on the right controls the motor and should have 6 slots. 3 should be empty slots to the right hand side labeled IR GND 24VDC The IR sensor has 4 wires you want to use. Grey, white, brown, blue Grey goes to IR White and brown go to GND (twist them together) Blue goes to 24VDC After those are connected its just a matter of attaching your sensor and the reflector so when something crosses the beam the gate stops and reopens. Hope that helps.
What do I do if I install two gate openers within 100 ft. and when I use one remote both gate openers open at the same time ? Please if You can help , thank You
That seems kind of strange. I would only expect that if you programmed the same remote on both units. May want to reach out to the manufacturer for that one. I don't know how to delete a remote, just how to add one.
Unfortunately there is no way to reprogram the remotes. They are on a set frequency. I have tried using other brand remotes myself which are the same frequency and they just won't pair with the motor. You have to buy the remotes directly from the company that sells this gate opener. I believe they also sell a keypad, however, I have no use for one so I don't know the method of connecting or programming one.
I do not believe this model has a sun visor option. I tried programming one that uses the same frequency and it didn't work. The only ones that work with this opener have to be purchased from the manufacturer.
The process is frequency learning. I've had to do it multiple times. Press the black button on the panel, then click the top button on the new remote. These must be remotes from CO-Z otherwise they just won't work. Once it recognizes the signal the gate will open and close as it should.
That doesn't seem normal. I had issues where mine wouldn't close after installing the infrared sensor but I realized later that was because the reflector had water droplets on it and threw off the infrared beam - also only ever happened when it rained. You may have a defective remote that has a sticky button?? Just a guess.
Thank you! Short and to the point, very well and easy explained.
