I know its kind of a joke at this point to say "X song is underated!" But no one is talking about Small World or DataBend and they are happy little bops and i love them
"It's Alright" is definitely the most emotional song on this album. Whenever I listen to it, I imagine someone singing it to themselves as the world ends. And the high pitched noise that occurs in the chorus represents all the destruction around them. Holy shit, why is this album so good!?
I really love Pad Thai, because the part where it sounds like it's breaking *the chorus* it sounds like someone's mad and it helps me calm down sometimes cause then I can SCREAM the lyrics to the chorus.

If someone asked me to describe this album I couldn't do it. Nobody can describe the emotion of screaming pain and fear in a song. This album is to incredible for anyone to comprehend.

I always have trouble sticking to one genre of music at a time, so I can't help but fall in love with Leopard's constant switching of styles and what it represents. Even so, it's hard not to enjoy Databend's catchy tune, or Beird's rapid fire beat, or Gettin' My Mom On's simple and fun tone, or It's Alright's relaxing albeit almost ominous feel. Honestly might just beat out Pop Food as my favorite album of his.
This beats pop food for me by a long shot. I liked most of the songs but songs like Koi Boy and Lynn were easy skips. But everything here is so catchy and good that I literally can’t choose a favorite.
I think pop food had higher highs since safe socks, I understand, dog nightmares, and oh klaholma are all absolute bangers but hilo is just all around fantastic

@Jack Castellitto If your in Pennsylvania, then I'm guessing you live in the Harrisburg area. Am I close? I myself live in the Philadelphia area. I'd LOVE to go see him play one day when venues start opening up again. I'm pretty sure he doesn't tour since he's going to school full time in Pittsburgh (at least I think so) so I'd have to catch him at a local show. I always had a very clear idea in my mind as to what ‘it’s alright’ was about, but I’m pleasantly surprised by the diversity of interpretations and meanings people associate with the song. To me, there’s a clear dialogue between someone comforting another person who breaks down and is overcome by a cathartic release of pent-up emotion, with the comforter saying ‘it’s alright, I am here, everything’s alright’ and being responded to be wails of overwhelming emotion
Here are the meanings: Cunk is about someone wanting to commit s*cide. (Dang, already off to a hard start) Dead Weight is about someone wanting to be social and meet people but doesn't know how to. Coconut Ranger is about someone being happy about them being with their girl at tue moment. Leopard is about how no one can change their personality. John And Nancy is about someone who had a bad dream about their partner dying. Beird is about someone trying to change themselves to fit society's standards. It's Alright is about someone saying that they're okay even though they're not. Small World is simple. It's about love. Pad Thai is about being afraid of hurting someone you love. Gettin' My Mom On is, duh, a stereotypical interpretation of mothers. But it was made because apparently someone told Jack to stop being depressed and to get a "real job". (Yeah, I know. What a butthole) Databend is about a manipulative relationship with the singer as the manipulater. O.U.R. is about Earth and it's problems and that we don't have the solutions to those problems. Pizza Boy is about being the fear of growing up and going away from childhood. Moonstone is about not being noticed and not wanting to talk about your secret feelings.
Dead Weight always gives me this floating sensation, as if the planet has just stopped in place, with everything left to drift aimlessly, to itself and by itself.

O.U.R is an underrated classic. Absolutely love it especially the chorus. It never fails to calm me down during a panic attack or a gay panic (don’t ask, it’s tough being Agender and having a crush that rejected you twice). It’s fun to visualize too!

God this album is incredible. Every time I listen it never fails to make me feel so many different emotions all at the same time. I always have trouble sticking to one genre of music at a time, so I can't help but fall in love with Leopard's constant switching of styles and what it represents. Even so, it's hard not to enjoy Databend's catchy tune, or Beird's rapid fire beat, or Gettin' My Mom On's simple and fun tone, or It's Alright's relaxing albeit almost ominous feel. Honestly might just beat out Pop Food as my favorite album of his.

This beats pop food for me by a long shot. I liked most of the songs but songs like Koi Boy and Lynn were easy skips. But everything here is so catchy and good that I literally can’t choose a favorite.

Leopard is my favourite and for some reason the title exactly matches the vibe of the song

I always had a very clear idea in my mind as to what ‘it’s alright’ was about, but I’m pleasantly surprised by the diversity of interpretations and meanings people associate with the song. To me, there’s a clear dialogue between someone comforting another person who breaks down and is overcome by a cathartic release of pent-up emotion, with the comforter saying ‘it’s alright, I am here, everything’s alright’ and being responded to be wails of overwhelming emotion

O.U.R is an underrated classic. Absolutely love it especially the chorus. It never fails to calm me down during a panic attack or a gay panic (don’t ask, it’s tough being Agender and having a crush that rejected you twice). It’s fun to visualize too!

i like coming back to this album once in a while
God this album is incredible. Every time I listen it never fails to make me feel so many different emotions all at the same time. My all time favorite song has to be Dead Weight though- that song is so good for venting frustration or any other negative emotion. I’ve started singing that in my head whenever I’m feeling rough and a lot of the time it helps me calm down. Thank you Jack Stauber!!!!

ive been a fan of jack stauber since like early 2020 and by far he is one of the best artists ive ever heard really refreshing on the music scene cause now its all the same but not jack he is a glass of water in a dry desert of music jack is an insperation to us all jack you are amazing
