Great Video. Would be also really great with a local ollama model (llama3 or phi3) or also with groq.
My face as a Linux user when I see the command to create a directory in PS 😱
Nice tool, thanks for sharing!
Okayy this one is different and useful
This is really impressive. I'd definitely like to use this.
i can’t wait till i know what you’re talking about . i’m so excited
The terminal, be it Bash be it Powershell, is best learned when working in the field. It forces you to figure out how to do things and collect a list of commands to do the things you wanted to do.
does the llm runs always on background? do you kill it after it has replied?
I have the Meta Llama 3 downloaded, can I use that instead of openai?
very cool tool i like this idea very much
ShellGPT is the best integration of AI in the terminal.
So Yeah!
Why is nobody talking about the "Lavender" "Gospel" or "Where's Daddy?" AI programs?
Trying not to say "Yeah" after every 3 words challenge: Impossible.
Hold on a minute! This video is basically an infomercial disguised as a helpful tutorial. The creator spends a good chunk of the video promoting their own GitHub repository for an AI-powered terminal, which honestly seems more like a gimmick than a truly useful tool. They keep hyping up the AI features, but let's be real, most terminal users already know basic commands or can easily look them up. The AI explanations for commands are often verbose and unnecessary, and the whole "ask openAI" thing feels clunky. Sure, it might be fun to play around with for a while, but it's not going to revolutionize your terminal experience. Don't get me wrong, integrating AI into software can be interesting, but this particular application feels forced and lacks practical value. Let's focus on developing AI tools that genuinely solve problems, not just create more distractions.
