Syd's voice and timbre is well suited for this mono version. And it gives the band's instruments an otherworldly quality, which it has in spades already!
I like both versions. The stereo one has a more washy subdued and mysterious vibe to it, it feels more like a vignette. This one feels more like a fleshed out track with everything audible and the weirdness of the composition and effects really become apparent. Both are good in their own way.

This version is so good
But i miss the “ahhhhhh” in “watching buttercups cup the light” :(
This is way too muffled, it sounds like I'm listening to it through a trash can.
This version is so superior to the stereo version.
truly.
Absolutely
Are you mad
@@Chris-nc6dxhe’s right. You can actually hear all the instruments. It’s a shame the mono mix was mixed poorly. The drums are barely audible

For once a version where I can't hear someone keeping beat with a temple block in the beginning of the song.
Incredible ❤
You can't hear me Syd but I can you and I love it 💕 yippee 😊
