    Nice looking Sauna,and like that you run it hot. Fridays for you, Mondays for me. At least every monday and with luck two more days a week when able to, About time to go fire it up in fac in about a half hour. I made mine I think 23 years ago now.....keep the heat up and sweat yourself healthy.

    Nice work on build. I wrestle and going to a gym isn't always easy with all the fees and timing. Not much to building it just time consuming but very nice build!

    Hey! I've got a question; is it hard to make and maintain a temparature between 200-210 F? Great idea Man. Good looking stove.

      My sauna normally operates between 200 - 220 F. I did not try to make it any hotter than 220 but I know it can go hotter.

    Hi Valik! Nicely done! I wanted to ask about the Pyrex casserole dish window. Did you do it? Do you know where I can see an example?
    Thanks!

      Thanks Dale. No I didn’t. I’m not sure.

      @@valiik OK thanks! My research shows Pyrex casserole dishes top out at about 500 degrees and an oak fire is much hotter. It might make a nice wall window though.

    Good Job! How long does it take to get up to 200 degrees?

      Bryan McNamara takes 2 hours in the winter. About one and maybe half in the summer

    Hi,
    I'm in the process of building my own sauna thus I'm getting some ideas from your project. I've noticed that in the right corner you had a bead of clear caulk. Don you think that it hazardous to you?

    • @valiik
      @valiik  10 років тому

      There is no caulk anywhere.. you are probably seeing welds.

    Galvanized pipe put off gassing poison that can kill you when heated.So much for a healthy sauna.Then invite all your friends for some too.

    Looks like the stove pipe is galvanized which is illegal because of poison off gassing, hope it's stainless.

      Well.... it's been there for 5 years and i'm still alive soo.... I'll look into it though. Thanks for bringing this up.

      Yeah where it I dull the galvanizing is burning off. Look up welding fever. You get a metallic smell/taste and a mean headache dizzy fever shakes. Probably can't tell from the sauna.
