Do you know what I absolutely love about these videos? There are no gimmicks. They are legitimately massages and she shares so much information with the audience. It’s refreshing to have something “real “ on UA-cam.

I was just thinking the same exact thoughts about her. I love the family dynamics. I can feel so much love between her and her family. Really makes me feel good. I feel like this what a families love must feel like. I’ve never really experienced a family experience but I always have wanted to. Now I feel as if I have had the chance to feel this being an empath I feel a lot. Even what I don’t prefer to feel. 😊

I had a massage tonight & my RMT is AMAZING but she DOESN’T SHUT UP!! So I told her I needed to listen to a podcast “for work”, popped my headphones on, and listened to this video while she did her thing.
WHEN I TELL YOU I MELTED INTO THE TABLE....🤤

Gemma Salmon I deadass told my hairdresser that; can we please not talk because I find it relaxing and I like to watch people work. It took me years to be bold enough to do it but its so worth it. Theres this one lady that is silent, only asks needed questions, and I love watching her work on my hair from the mirror because she gets so focused and I can see the passion in her, idk I just enjoy it haha. Also her salon only has 2 customer seats so its quiet and they dont play loud music. I’ve started asking for quiet from other hairdressers aswell if I’m not at my regular.

It almost makes me wish it were common practice for them to ask their clients if they want to be talked to or not. Some clients may want to talk, but others may just want some peace & quiet so they can relax.

    • @anthonypc1
      @anthonypc1 3 роки тому +2

aw take it easy on the sisters. Reiki isn't an actual healing practice in reality.
Hardly even qualifies as a pseudoscience because doesn't even pretend to be based on anything more evidential than magic...
But it can feel soothing to experience the personal attention of someone waving hands around our face, and be promised it's making us better.
(I just prefer the former, and don't need to be lied to.)
I guess you're familiar with the placebo effect ?
Feel free to fight Me on this if you got some real conviction in ya 🥊🥊
(I could hit you with a link or two. or just try a quick search of sources via Wikipedia, in case you're seriously deceived about this)

    • @anthonypc1
      @anthonypc1 3 роки тому +2

@@nathaliemollard7194 Nathalie, shouldn't your comment be addressed to the OP who said she'll fight her sisters over Reiki ? 😉
Can't a skeptic tease as well?
But since you assert that the truth of health-related beliefs do not affect anyone, I'd feel remiss to not give a reason or 2 for why they totally do, and I'm afraid that trivializing beliefs is dangerously naive.
I'll give you my reasons for caring a bit about even this:
Reiki specifically has far less possibilities for directly causing harm, so it's low priority for criticizing. Although I do have an example of a close friend with a developmental disability, William's Syndrome (similar to down syndrome) who suffers chronic physical and anxiety disorders and really could benefit from some clinical therapeutic evaluation and treatments but instead her parents set her up with some new age "energy healer" who convinced her that regular sessions at his house for reiki and magic crystal and magnet therapy was the key to fixing all her serious issues. Grand promises that make her weep with expectation, and them call me up when she's depressed for not seeing results and blames herself for "not doing it right" or for forgetting her "programmed gemstone" at home.
Also inducted into a religion through that community, so she's depending on a supernatural LORD of the universe to answer her prayers for healing now.
Because of her delicate cognitive faculties I don't feel confident that explicitly disabusing her of these lies she's been made to depend on would be more helpful than harmful for her, at this point. So I can only gently ask questions about the claims she brings up and additionally try encouraging her to ask her guardians to set her up with a licensed therapist for better advice.
But for most of us able-bodied able-minded folk I know reiki isn't going to be the thing that holds us back from getting our needs met. But it's the superstitious type of thinking it promotes which leaves a lot of people vulnerable, to varying degrees, to all sorts of similar false promises of alt-med practices and products.
Some which risk far more direct harm, and most which are sold as substitutes for more legit medicines and health advice that's been proven to do what it claims to do.
In all seriousness, I got no beef with playing make-believe for a pleasant experience. Just so long as everyone involved is given an honest opportunity for INFORMED consent to play along with the fiction.
I believe it's unethical to let people be genuinely deceived about the efficacy of any prescribed solution, most especially those relating to our health.
I've seen studies showing that at least in some cases people can emotionally benefit from a placebo treatment even when honestly informed that the ritual is only a placebo.
      which is great!
But if getting a vaccine will make me immune to a microscopic contagion, or not, MATTERS.
And if a hang-waving ritual can fix a supernatural energy field somehow emanating from my body yet undetectable to any objective measurement, that should kinda matter too.
Maybe I'd choose to invest a lot of my attention and life time into studying and practicing these magical treatments, and persuade others to lean away from science-base medicine and join me, if I could find reason to believe these concepts of chakras or chi or chiropractic "subluxation adjustments" or homeopathy are anything more than wishful thinking to be exploited by scammers. reality matters, IMHO
But what do you think about these reasons for caring ?

above I gave some reasons why the truth of health claims matters, I think enough to be worth commenting on if I feel like sharing a different view.
I was pretty relaxed when responding to this actually. This is one of the less serious contexts. so no hard feelings about anybody here ✌🏼 (it's not a sin to be honestly wrong, in my book.)

Hi Semide ! ❤️ Your voice and videos are sooooo incredibly soothing. If I close my eyes in this one it almost feels like I'm there 😴✨
    Quick question for you:
I have trichotillomania and have a little spot on my head with some hair loss. I was wondering if you had any recommendations for stimulating hair growth - spot treatment style. Thanks! ❤️

Hey, just thought I’d throw this out there. Natulique makes a really good anti-hairloss shampoo, if you can find a salon near you that sells their products I highly recommend. I have a few friends dealing with hairloss for different reasons and they really like it!

xxBATMOBILE I don’t have a suggestion unfortunately & I know my response is completely unsolicited, but I just felt so compelled to reach out-
I’ve never personally met (irl or online) someone else who also has trichotillomania! the hair loss/ bald spots are just so disheartening, not to mention all the other reasons it isn’t fun
I hope you find what you’re looking for in terms of something to aid hair growth and whatnot, and I also hope you are able to free yourself from this, sooner rather than later! I know it’s very hard but stay strong, try to be mindful, and be kind to yourself 🖤

@@cassh0le69 thank you ❤️ I've had it for over 10 years and still learning new ways to live with it. It's always evolving, just like my depression, but I'm not letting it control my life anymore. Thanks for reaching out. Wishing you the best as well ❤️ being mindful is key!

I love how natural the sound from the in-ear mics sounds. Could I ask what ones you use?
