I've been lucky enough to have been taken down this trail by some locals. Following a train and having a decent 150mm full fat bike. It was a scream🤯🤠and a Trail worthy to put any long travel bike through its paces.🙂😃😁
Turn right at the bottom in front the gate, go uphill for a few minutes then follow the trail to the left, theres another really nice section of downhill
Hi Jake. Yeah good shout. I actually rode that part as well. I eventually made it down to 'the old clam bridge' (I think that was what it was called). Some really nice riding there. A great spot.
There's also two steep and technical trails that come off the nutcracker to the right... one right up at the top shortly before you go into the trees, and another just before the start of the steep section
All correct untill the last steep section , where the nutcracker then bears southwest towards the River Bovey ( flowey bit of the cracker / STRAVA segment 1 ) , the downhill section from there is quite a bit longer. Zoom in on Strava Explore for all the other lines in the area. Bizangos Rock!
@@zerocarbonadventures9871 it is on hunters tor above lustleigh village on dartmoor he begins at the top which you can reach by either ascending the descent or coming over the ridge the other side
Solid effort on the Voodoo. I've got the same and have been debating an upgrade for the same reasons. My current top choice is either the Ragley Marley 1.0 or Mmmbop, with the Whyte 905 a more expensive 3rd choice.
Yeah it has been a good bike but it isn't on top form at the moment. I have been looking at sooooo many bikes over the last few weeks. I need to make a decision.
Definitely need to go up there when I'm abit more confident again, youve got a perfect bike for that kind of trail with it being a 29er just drop the tyre pressures abit and you'll be fine, i used to do downhill sections all the time on my 26er hardtail used to love it hehe. Epic video though keep it up dude and stay safe!!
I like your video. Wish you had a better camera for IS and IQ. I'm surprised you've taken the Bizango on that kind of track. I've been riding the bike for the past 3 years and sections like that are scary af.. Lack of rear suspension, thin-ish tires and low brakes don't inspire confidence. Even after I changed the break fluid, new pads and cleaned the disks, The brakes just can't handle the speed that this bike can pick up. But the bike is fun, fast and really good value for the money. I've just replaced it with a Marin rift 2. Any more trails like that around that area?
You've certainly put this bike through its paces. That's the reason I have purchased this bike. What tyre pressures do you run on that type of terrain? How do you rate the Suntour forks that came with the bike?
Looks like a great trail, also the voodoo bizango will be the next bike im buying but i need to get a lot of use out of my current bike it is no where near as capable as that bike as it has mechanical disk brakes, shimano twister shifters and a 3 by drivetrain with a shimano and power derailier combo and a quill stem so i cant upgrade my bars unless i get an adapter so my current bike is basically a commuter bike with suspension and a light trail bike one good thing about it the is that it has 27.5 inch wheels its called the "boss colt 27.5" from halfords
I bought the voodoo bizango recently. It’s my first decent mountain bike ever. Since you’ve had it for a long time I was wondering what you think of it, any suggestions regarding upgrades etc? Keep up the good job mate! 🙂
Hello mate. Funny you should mention, I am planning a bit of a bike update video soon. I did make a one year review video a couple of months ago, but to be honest it has been pretty reliable. In terms of upgrades: Definitely a dropper post (ua-cam.com/video/ge4bxxsHFmQ/v-deo.html), pedals and bars (depending on your preference).
Hello mate. From memory I searched Lustleigh on trailforks and had to do a bit of detective work on google maps. I wish I had Strava’d the route so I could send it to people. Once I was there it wasn’t too hard to find. Sorry I couldn’t help more.
Hi man, when your bottom bracket needed replacing... what were the tell-tale signs of failure? noises etc. Mine has started to make a cracking noise when the left pedal/crank is under hard pressure. (Pedals/cranks not the problem)
Hello mate, if the pedals and cranks are in good order then it might be worth stripping the bike down down and taking a look at the BB. If there is any movement in it that it would be worth replacing. When mine went it started making a strange noises and had a lot of movement in it. I hope you manage to get it sorted.
@@mylowoutdoor8413 A strip of old inner tube and a pair of decent pipe grips will do for HT2 BB's at a push. Cracking noise sounds like a loose cup to me.
I have been looking at some full sus trail bikes recently. I was looking at a couple of demo days before lockdown (which obviously didn't happen). My old full sus specialized has been out of action for the last year so I think it is time to replace it. Although there is always room for an aggressive hardtail in my fleet!

Adventure Trails MTB hi man, I know this is a bit of a sudden thing, but I’m just starting out mountain biking, and would love an experienced riders input. I’m looking for a starter bike (not too costly) and the voodoo looks to be quite good. It’s probably wise to go for a Hardtail as they get pretty expensive for full sus. Is love to know your thoughts on a good mtb for a similar price. This one maybe?
I love how you live near me, as you have shown me many trails I don't know about.

That voodoo can’t cope with that trail it’s too frail he needs something heavier like apollo evade to soke up those bumps
It's no his bike tis his pals he said so in another video.
The Voodoo rides harder AND better than yer manky mrs when she's out on the tiles! Voodoo is capable.
