Rented the convertible (Avis) for 10 days in French Alps. Delighted. HUGE amounts of torque for these windy roads, quite good handling. Top up visibility is fine, top down also. (I drive a Benz CLK Convertible which is comparable). A couple of issues: navigation programming is totally lame (I brought my TomTom World Traveler); zero traction control on gravel roads (unlike my clk); I wacked the right front rim (it was already slightly wacked with some 100 kilometers on the car!) on a curb. Not sure why I have NEVER done this with the clk. Slightly higher profile tires? Fuel economy was absolutely amazing, and with great performance. If VW fixed that traction control problem, I would probably buy it. Oh, I have a Benz ML320 Diesel, and this car accelerates WAY better out of the roundabouts/turns.
I bought the fuel 150hp cylinder on demand, great option! consumption is 6.1L, I drive a lot in the city. Expensive cars usualy trust soft top because it's cheaper, lighter and you have way more space in your trunk. If any of you are thinking about buying it, do it (if you have the cash) I paid 30k, second hand in perfect condition, Sline, MMI touch+ etc.. simply awesome car.
I purchased a new 1.4 TFS S-line Cabriolet in March. Its white with black interior and looks and drives fantastically, also an improvement on the last model.
What is the car like with the roof up? Is visibility greatly impaired for town driving and parking? Does the engine more noticeable with the roof up? And finally what's the car like with the s tronic
ram64man Hi! We will record a short additional video with the roof up, no problem. For the visibility, you should have the rear view camera as it is indeed impaired when the roof is up. The TDI is really absolutetely silent, whenever. Even more silent is the petrol one then. The s-tronic is my personal favourite as it is the best transmission so far - it is the Volkswagen DSG just renamed for Audi. Flawless shifting.
That discussions in Germany about Diesel bans in cities suck. I would have bought a TDI, because it's fast and efficient, but you always have the risk to find no more buyer for the car later..
What a concept a A3 with a manual gear box and TDI plus convertible the only thing missing is Quattro we can't get an Audi A3 here in Canada or the USA with a manual gear box I can' believe it it is the smallest car they sell in north America can't get like that the only way I'm going to drive a automatic car is a hybrid or full electric.
Scott Campbell I checked the Audi USA site again, it appears nowhere. I think they do not offer them for the smaller cars, however Volkswagen and Audi are increasingly pushin their TDI in the USA. Atm just for the bigger classes.
Girl's / Hairdresser's car, rival for the BMW 1-Series !!! Prefer 2 seater convertibles and the sat-nav integration into the dial binnacle like on the new Audi TT !!!
My dear, the car came ON the market, not in. And you could relax a little. Let those shoulders rest, because it doesn't look open and it could help your explaning to be more smooth. And your tone of speaking seems to be a bit too indolent.
***** Why? Because you're Germans? I know it's not your native language but for a solid review, using the English the right way, good grammar and some basic presenting rules are indespinsable. LOL :P your too kind, you respond on every comment, that's something that shows for you, really not seen many car review channels do this. But if you don't like critisicsm, you shouldn't have sent another comment to someone saying " We welcome your feedback " Im sorry. It wasnt meant to insult you, you do a pretty good job, all of you, but i thought some advice was at place. And your reviews are thorough. But since my correction is written yo u can\t hear me saying it in a friendly voice!

AUDI IS THE BEST OF THE BEST

V10PDTDI Yeah, they finally also sell the compact one over at your place. But I woulndt mind going for the s-tronic, it's awesome!

Nice review! Nice to get a woman's point of view on Autogefühl.
thanks! passing that on :)
Could the side skirt be removed? It really ruins the overall look.
+BrateTebra123 should be sline only
yes I know, but s-line has other nice extra options except the skirts
Отличный обзор и очень обаятельная девушка.🌼
spassibo!

tdi is too loud for a vert... and the engine is damn heavy..
We have to teach Americans how to pronounce Audi... its not "oady" but "owdy".
I`m glad to have a 2012 Golf 6 cabrio. Audi sold cheaper shit expensive.
Audi shit ? Hahahaha
