Hi my name is Patricia Smith and I from Mobile Alabama I love your videos. I have a question do you ever give any of your papaya seeds away if you do I would love to have some to grow here
WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW Dearest LADY WENDY. WHAT A BIG DELICIOUS DISH PAPAYAFRUIT 💎💎💎💎💎💎🍾🥂🌻🌹AND YOU HAVE A GREATER GIRLDOG. SHE LOVES THE PAPAYA. IT GIVES ME HAPPY VIBES. THANKS. GOD BLESS YOU DEAREST LADY WENDY
ToughLoveTV Good to know! There's people that make tea with the leaves of papaya also to aid indigestion. I assume it's really bitter like the seeds...but if it helps, I think it's totally worth it. :)
Hey Wendi, Loved the video as always sweetheart. That papaya looks amazing & I know it was delicious. Another thing you can do with papaya is cut it in chunks, mash the chunks & add sugar & lime. That's what we do. If you try it, let me know what you think. Can't wait to see the next video. I hope you're doing well. Lots Of Love!!! ~Pete~ 😘😘😘😘😘
ElPistolero06 Hi Pete, Thank you for the suggestion. :) If I don't end up eating all the papaya by itself then I would definitely give it a try. Maybe with just the lime, I think the papaya is sweet enough by itself? I would love mashed papaya with lime juice as a sidedish with dinner. :D Weather's getting consistently warm here so I've been spending more time caring the garden. Hope you are doing great too!
Wendi, I love your episodes! Have you found a papaya that does not smell like stinky socks? I hate to sound like that, but I literally cannot bring myself to eat papaya as much as I want to. It smells SO bad!
***** Hahaa thanks, Luke! Have you had the Hawaiian papayas? Those don't have the strong big papaya smell, they have a sweeter scent. In Hawaii, they give you a slice of lemon with your papaya at the restaurant. I totally didn't get why, but now I'm thinking maybe it's for cutting out the smell a bit?
lol Nice. Our Caribbean Papayas have that awful smell, but only if we let them get all the way ripe on the tree. so we pick them at first blush and ripen on the counter top a day or two, and they smell and taste pretty beautiful.
Hello Wendi! congratulations, you are doing a great job, growing vegetables and fruits. I know papaya is a tropical fruit. and you said, "the papaya was from the last year", Did you protect the fruit or the papaya tree from the cold weather? If you did! how you did it? Thanks, Francisco.
most kinds of mites, and other pests, are easily controlled by lady bugs. if you can, buy some and find a video on UA-cam on how to build a shelter for them to keep them in your garden. there's nothing better for you and the environment than keeping it organically pest-free.
most mites can be eliminated with a soapy water combination. it HAS to be soap. any kind, the cheaper, the better. grate it and dissolve it in some warm water, 3 tbs first in the warm water then in half a gallon of water. if you can spray it, great but if you can't, splash it as best you can on top of the mites so that they get washed down. once they're in the ground they can't climb up, but the soapy water will also destroy their chitinous exoskeleton, as well as kill their eggs. spray or splash the soapy water once a week until the infestation is gone then once a month to keep it away if it seems to come back.
if you eat free range eggs, you can save and crash or blend the eggshells and apply them to your beautiful garden: ua-cam.com/video/8l7ScIh107o/v-deo.html. P.S. One thing I don't agree with is the microwaving part. Better to boil.
Awwww your dog is so polite!

The fresh seeds can also be used in smoothies for high nutrient supplement to aid in digestive health.

Hi Wendi
I wanted to know what agriculture zone you live in that you can grow fruit all winter.
D
I'm getting spider mites on my papaya do you recommend anything to take care of them??

How did you get your papaya tree?
WESTCOASTSUR13 It grew from my compost, it was from the Maradol Papayas. Next time when you eat papaya, save the seeds and grow your own!
Great videos !
+theLimfamilia Thank you for watching! :D
It would be nice if you could take smaller bites of everything that u eat in front of the camera. It would look more polite and appealing.
