It's just a fun project for now, and I wish for it to be safe to use, it's in heavy development still, and as of now, not safe to use (05/10/2024)
Occult aims to be a memory-safe language, with garbage collection with the raw power that C has. It's a hard-to-accomplish task, but doable. It cross-compiles to C and uses TinyCC as a JIT and AOT backend, it also uses tgc for garbage collection. Occult has an in-house static analyzer, parser, lexer, and code generation.
