I have this one. It is very underwhelming……until you use it with Dolby or DTS X spatial audio. It’s a complete beast afterwards. By itself, it sounds like a 50 dollar set, but using one of the surround sound apps really unlocks it’s potential. Since then I use them with console and pc gaming exclusively. I hope you give them a try.
Not bothered about lack of EQ settings because all games I play support Atmos. Will probably pick this over wireless - one less thing to charge and won't die on me if I go a few months without gaming.
The headset is not responsible for you configuring your audio settings correctly. The first thing I always do is turn down in-game sound effects to 70% or so so you can hear voices better during battle. The game should also support ducking if it's worth anything at all
the wired version of any wireless device is the exact same thing, except better. wireless is a way to charge people who dont consider purchases more, for a lesser product. where do you use a wireless headset? where do you use a wireless mouse? wireless keyboard? all are within 10 feet from the device theyre connected to 99% of the time, the reason people choose wireless, is they dont like the cord in their way, but it is Never a 'the wireless version performs better' , because the wired Ver is always better
I have this headset, and you're right with the sound. I have a elite 2 and play on series S, and the sound for my games is fine, but if I use them on my PC to listen to reg vids or music... not great. I have also noticed that if I use a different controller the sound is pretty bad too. idk what makes the difference with the elite 2.
What’s funny is he likes the wireless after setting up the eq but didn’t get into that with the wired version. I got the wired version and I bought Dolby atmos when it was on sale and honestly I was blown away. Say what you will about the stock sound and I agree it’s really bad but atmos is the only app that gives you the ability to fix that bad sound. Try it out and if you don’t like it just return it.
I think Xbox and PlayStation killed it with 1st party headsets this time around, only complaints I have on the Xbox headset is having the volume adjustments being giant knobs on the side it’s pretty easy to turn it down or up when you have to set your headset down for a minute, otherwise it’s perfect!
on PC I would assume you can just tweak the EQ on what I would assume is Realtek in their software.. 99% PCs use realtek and depending the chip you can get some great sound out of them if you tweak the eq in the software.. if you have a Asus motherboard their front end is great
the problem is that where I live, Wireless is sold out everywhere and only the wired one is available. and I'm tired of using my ps5 headset with a cable from controller to headset and it not working properly

sucks that they gimped the wired ones. I prefer wired over wireless. The battery in the wireless one will probably die one day and thats why I try to buy Wired when it's not too much of a hassle (wired ones just connect straight to your controller)
Love the sound but I find these to be super warm on my head/ears - gets a bit uncomfortable after an hour or so. Maybe swapping out the ear pads would help.

Is the mute button up or down ? Also for the wireless version I don’t ever see them in stores anymore all I see is the wired one. Me personally I like the wired ones better vs wireless. Granted I haven’t opened my wireless ones up yet I just use my wired ones.
I would get the wired one because. The wired ones supports lossless audio wireless just can’t do lossless at least not yet. It has to get compressed to lossy and also then gains extra latency and that for me at least just out weighs the eq adjustment or whatever you said.
Hello i have owned the wirless version of this headset since release and its so amazing but i only have 4 complaints. Hey is there anyway to fix the problem where your friends in party chat can hear everything that is happening in your game ? I already tried turning off mic monitoring and messing with the settings but nothing seems to work
You're supposed to mute your TV because the volume comes through the headset, some people don't know this and that's why they can hear it. Whenever you use your headset you always mute your TV since all audio will be through your headset when you use it.
I play with friends online I put on the headset and I normally use a10s and there’s echo and it makes my voice very high pitched and if you need a headset with a mic don’t go for this one
