I just noticed an error in the video. After acoustic Trail Of Broken Hearts there is a minute long black screen and some wrong text about five songs in the Marc set. Skip to 57:02 to enjoy the Marc portion! UPDATE: Trail of Broken Hearts Acoustic was broadcasted (and probably recorded) on September 13th 2006, not 2010 like it has been assumed for years. 39:05 "Why is this" I can answer that! They want to play everything accurately nowadays. Back then Sam strummed the tripple tapping part for Revolution Deathsquad. He could do the same for CFE. But they want to play it as heard on the album. Just use playback damnit. Idfc. I just want to hear it live before I die. Even if the whole song is pre-recorded.
Otherwise I think you definitely gathered the best of the best. The only performance I might swap is OGAP for this one. ZP sounds a smidge more comfortable throughout the song and the ending (except 1 voice crack I think haha). Plus the energy at this show is so great. ua-cam.com/video/Lq1QJqn0Glk/v-deo.html Also unfortubate that there are so many clips of Trail of Broken Hearts that are good, but incomplete. They’re all like 2:00 lol Excellent work!!!
Thank you so much! I don’t think I have seen that OGAP performance before, but the bit I heard now sounds solid! With these videos my goal is mostly to share new recordings. Maybe not the very best, but solid recordings with soul. And yea, Trail is a shame. Now that I think of it, there’s a bunch of audio, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a full video recording of it. Will definitely keep my eyes open for that! Edit: this one lol ua-cam.com/video/n0HxK3A4XpM/v-deo.html
Wait, for some reason I remembered that one being only partial. Glad I was wrong haha. Yeah that one is incredible. ZP is sooo into it. Extremely glorious.
It’s too bad we never got a really good performance of Body Breakdown. The one you picked is probably the best one I’ve heard, but it’s still definitely not great haha. It’s super demanding so I understand why anyone would struggle with it. It’s just too bad they didn’t work on it more or change key a bit for his voice.
Yea Body Breakdown is very demanding. This and the Atlanta 2006 performance are for sure the most solid. ZP holds pretty strong both performances. That being said, they probably performed the song more than we think. It just did not get recorded that much. Everytime I receive a new 2006 recording, it's always a surprise to find what songs are in there. The same show this BB performance comes from, they played Revelations (!!!) in November (!!!) 2006 (!!!). They just pulled out whatever they wanted. Really cool to see and hear.
@@raymanlegend8563 I know this is a year old, but that's such a big problem with modern DragonForce. They're waaaaay to predictable and if you're lucky, the setlist might switch one song out for a song that is equally as played, which isn't very interesting. Old DragonForce had such a habit of playing whatever they wanted and actually mixing the setlist up a little, instead of modern DragonForce where the setlist doesn't change in 3 years. Any of the songs not played in the past will probably never ever be played and that really sucks. Also, even if they did play Cry for Eternity, Herman would probably 5 string sweep 50% of the solo anyways and improvise
@@XeoTheFreshReindog I agree. Granted, the core of the setlist was the same for half a year or a year at a time aswell, but they definitely switched stuff up more back then.
@@raymanlegend8563 I feel like it shows too, with random performances of Once in a Lifetime and The Flame of Youth and stuff. I assume the reason they barely ever switch it up is because they don't have all the backing tracks and would actually have to fucking perform lmaooo
@@shokasen8584 the painful thing it... It was planned for the EPM tour, but they never fully learned the song. Hopefully on the next album tour next year!
@@raymanlegend8563 Once i've discovered Dragonforce in 2006 by getting my hands on Inhuman Rampage, There was only Cry For Eternity i was listening to after listening to the whole album. My fav. DF song and i also want to hear it played live. I'm waiting since 2006...
39:25 - Honored to have a cameo, thank you brotha ♥
OMGGHHHH I HAVE TO WAIT 26 hours 😭😭
14 hours 🫠
Love you bro, thanks for this!!! Just waiting for the UB
Only 3 for Marc? We gotta get those numbers up.
Acoustic Trail of Broken Hearts was ZP last performance? That hurts so bad

There was an even better one and in original tuning. The quality isn't as good but ZP sounds amazing. ua-cam.com/video/gQf1squvFtM/v-deo.html
I know Fred can play guitar well, but he was amazing on the acoustic for Trail of Broken hearts acoustic.

Thanks man
Well i think there's no trail of broken heart marc version?😌🤔
Indeed. Just the 3 songs in the video (TTFAF, Storming and OGAP). But hopefully one day…
I just wanna hear cry for eternity with Marc’s vocals 😢
@@shokasen8584 I just wanna hear it live in general lol
Same but obviously it’s probably not gonna happen so I’m just hopi for the best here 😅

Marc has sung Revolution Deathsquad live now.
Yep! But until they will play Cry for Eternity, I'm not updating this video haha!

Holy hell, they did Flame of Youth live?
Yes! Just once😁
Yo, is 53:21 after he left the band??
Actually no! Recently my friend and I discovered this performance was actually from 2006.
