I think they are both good but I would have to say the animated version is superior. I think it looks more vibrant and whimsical with the colors and the flow of the animation, and the singing is better, of course. All of the quirks of the other villagers really adds a lot of humor and lightheartedness to the entire scene that I feel the live action is lacking. Not only that, it's more efficient in the way it sets up it's characters. You really get a sense of Belle's longing for something more in the way she is so preoccupied by her book to the point that she strolls throughout the village in an almost spacey haze, not noticing much of what's going on around her. It displays just how different she is from the rest of the villagers. I don't really get that in the live action. Belle seems more engage with the villagers in the live action. The scene in the book shop where she is giddily slides around on the ladder really showcases her charm and playful nature and demonstrates her excitement and proclivity for reading. When she walks past the group of children playing jump rope and she pats one of them on the head and when she sits at the fountain with the herd of sheep, we can see how gentle and caring she is. It's the same with Gaston. Him shooting the duck out of the air demonstrates that he is a strong and talented hunter but it also showcases his callousness. It's a perfect scene that demonstrates just how opposite he is from Belle. And the way he tries to pursue her but he is constantly obstructed by the town folk aptly shows just how out of reach Belle really is for him. It's the subtle details that really make the animated version stand out. The live action is good too but it feels slightly dull in comparison.
As much as I enjoyed the live action take on Beauty And The Beast and how visually stunning it looked, there is just no question who the actual vocal talent is here. Paige O'Hara (voice of Belle in 1991) outsings Emma Watson by a mile, making Emma sound flat and lacking of the vocal richness this and other songs of the movie where Belle sings is needed.
Side by side u can see that live action belle could not hit the notes or even stay on the same pitch. They should've hired someone with actual singing talent, not just a name
Belle 1991 was more sweet, more sympathetic, more charming and Paige O'Hara was wonderful in sing part. This is not doubt about which is the best version!
I am sooooooo in love with both animated Belle and live action Belle 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭.
@@captainhowlerwilson508 My Disneyland dream is to slow dance with Belle, do a French tango dance with Belle and the cha cha cha 🕺 💃 🎶, have Belle speak French to me, and smother me in kisses 💋 💋 💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋 while Belle is only wearing her blue apron dress 💙 👗.

Very well said!!! I couldn’t agree more.

2:12 here you can hear it clearly
1991 way better
1:58 The Belle on the right just straight up walks on these girls’ table. The 1991 Belle would’ve never done that
2:11 and 6:22 are great to hear & see.
Belle 1991 was more sweet, more sympathetic, more charming and Paige O'Hara was wonderful in sing part. This is not doubt about which is the best version!
I like both of them
1991 is better.
Nooooooooooo
Yes
@@quitlyin88Yes it is.
Yep. An actual singer not a terrible actress who’s auto tuned.
I’m team 1991!
3:39 why is Belle live action so drop dead gorgeous!!!
emma watson is beautiful
Yeah, but she does not feel like Belle and her singing was so flat.
But she is not Belle! She is Emma Watson with Belle's clothes
@@Chibi_Mercurybut she ain’t a singer.
The library scene in 2017 is terrible, that is always my favorite part of the song
I enjoyed both versions but the animated one will always be my favorite
Emma's Chapter 3 verse brought me to tears.
I disagree. It was so off, and the autotune became so noticeable. I wanted to turn off the sound whenever she broke out with a song.
I like them both.
No…there is no comparison.
1991❤
@Never Land will you make video scene of The Addams Family 2 2021 just like you did for the first movie of The Addams Family 2019.
Ella larson
Emma Watson was wonderful as Belle
😘😘
👍
sup
The 1991 film is US
The 2017 film is British

I am in love with animated Belle, but not Watson Belle.

I think the live action is better and longer
Better😂😂😂
No it is not. The animated version is miles above the live action version.
It’s longer but it managed to be very mid. The best parts were the ones copied straight from the animated movie
2017 is more good because its not vocal
Really? That is the worst take I have ever heard. The 2017 version is made with autotune while the 1991 version is made with actual singing.
Emma Stone is 20 Time better than 1991
Absolutely not. Paige O’Hara is way in tune and performs 20 times better.
