Great documentary
Thank you @ifeanyichukwuakukwe5163! Much appreciated. Spread the word...
I can't believe DW Kick Off actually came to Lagos and even went to Akure. And the thumbnail is in pidgin English: "Oga Where You Dey Run Go?" Y'all are really doing a good job, covering those who may fall beneath the media's lens. Lovely. 🇳🇬🇳🇬
Thank you, man. We're going places, just like Victor 🔥😉
Lol if you watch DW documentaries U will know they are everywhere
Una go try come PH @@dwkickoff

Wish he was available for AFCON this year.
Maybe in 2026. 😮💨
Yeah, it was so sad that he got injured beforehand. Could have been his tournament...
The next Afcon is next year July in Morocco 2025. A calendar change has happened

Inspiring story of talent, well nurtured, and grace in tough times.
Akure to the world
"Akure to the world"? Since when does one's place of birth in Nigeria represent the person's origin in the Nigerian context??
His surname is "Okoh". Is this surname a yoruba name?
@@kene6753 His comment was probably dumb but your reply is even dumber
@@ceddcultff And who made a m0r0n like you the judge here?

@funharry3567 Thank you for confirming what I already suspected. These vile yoros are trying to claim him because he was born in Akure and he's a big international football star. Should the same Boniface come to Nigeria to contest for the Ondo governorship election tomorrow, they'll suddenly remember that he is of the Igbo descent and he'll be tagged "omo Igbo" or "IPOB."

Amazing video 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬
We have great players in Nigeria. Especially in the rural areas. When i served as a corps member in Ondo state. We teamed up to play football against the locals. They beat us mercilessly up to 7-0. Wotoporously

What a story!
I hope they manage his injury well. He is going to do great things.
I love his celebration, very funny.😅 Ea sports should add it to their next iteration.
So calm.
The way of thinking of the coach from the original village is intriguing , when ability and talant are extended to character, that's a sign of a well developed coach.
Beautiful documentary❤

Cool story but after this season I EXPECT his salary to have tripled next year or he fires his agent. Look at Osimhen's.
Victor.. that field is in need of a major upgrade.. and with the exchange rate being good against the naira...
The coach also could do with a care package and introduction to Western scouting teams
He started with nothing in a 3rd world country but passion and talent and he blew.

How is he suddenly "omo Akure"? 😂

If he stands for an electoral position in Nigeria tomorrow, you'll suddenly tag him "omo Igbo" or "IPOB".

OGA WHERE YOU DEY RUN GO? Lol. That's the only reason I clicked. Would non Africans understand that?
Norway is whaaaat??😅
Dear @DW Kickoff. Victor Boniface might've been born in Akure, but he's not from the South West of Nigeria. In Nigeria, your place of birth doesn't determine your origin, your ethnicity does.
Going by his surname, "Okoh", I'm sure that his origin lies in Rivers state (deep south) or one of the five South Eastern states.
Hi kene, thanks for your comment. He did tell us that he is from Akure, but he was raised by his grandparents.
He's from Abia
@dwkickoff Thank you for your response. As a Nigerian, I'm confident that something must've been lost in your communication with Victor Boniface about his origin within Nigeria. He might've been born in Akure, Ondo state (south west Nigeria), but with a surname ("Okoh") like his, he can never be from Akure, Ondo state. The name "Okoh" is an Igbo (south east Nigeria) name and definitely not a Yoruba (south west Nigeria) name.
Your ethinicity or tribe determines where you're from in Nigeria and not your birth place.
what does "Oga where you Dey run go" mean? Google Translate doesn't say
It means; Boss, where are you running to ?
Boss(or bro) where are you running (or rushing) to?
@Yaro79 how on earth could "Oga" mean "bro"?
The first guy who translated it already did that perfectly, so there was no need to complicate the translation and give false information.
@Sean-wz8xw I don't know how old you are but oga has been used as a slang for bro,a term of endearment or boss..it's like someone calling you "chairman".
Born in Ughelli, grew up in ilorin and Apapa lagos..you can't teach me pidgin or yoruba .ode, orhue
@Yaro79 I'm not teaching you anything, it is what it is; Oga doesn't mean Bro. In fact, the term Oga, like Boss, is unisex and so can be used to address both males and females as a form of respect. And there was no need for the abuses you added.
Osimhen 2023 Boniface 2024 which Victor will lead his team to victory in 2025
Hopefully, he will join Arsenal in the next couple of years🤞
What do you mean superstar in the making? 😂cos he's black ?
