Sharing how you can get PR (Permanent Residency) after 1 year study in Canada. This is how I got my PR in Canada. This is one of the ways to get PR in Canada that also worked for me. So, I thought of sharing it with all of you. This route is considered for permanent residency in Canada by several international students. I hope this information helps you or your known ones who are planning to study and settle in Canada.

I think I might go for 1 year PGDM, I am going to give my TEF exam, which actually helps a lot, and could add 60-70 CRS points and more. Plus, I already have a Bachelors Degree from the UK.
Tumhari baat tho mujhe bilkul sahi lagi yaar. One year sufficient hain degree waale ke liye. Phir tho score kaafi high ho jayega Canadian PR ke liye.
@@ishaangogna6884 Bhai CRS points kee hee baat hai. Abhi cut offs bahut kam bhi hai because of Covid, but it could change with time, it's a bit risky, but if you meet cutoffs even with 1 year study, then go for it. Warna, 2 year study and 3 years of PGWP is a guarantee for a PR.
Because the so called "Canadian experience" exists as well which makes no sense to me.

Hi Simran, many apply for student visa extension before applying PGWP so they can extend their study and also their post grad work permit duration. Please make sure to check the duration before which you should be applying for extension of study

Q1. How will I gain one year of work experience and then apply for PR if the PGWP is of 1 year only?
Q2. How to extend work permit without involving the employer?
Q3. If the employer can help to extend work permit, will it be BOWP?
Not everyone is luck as u were but yes it was informative
After completing my one year course I have applied for pgwp. I am offered full time job by the employers from where I did my co op of three months. Waiting for approval of work permit.
Now the problem is that my contact and work permit both will expire at the same time. When should I apply for PR and from where.
In my case, it was my employer who did it. If your employer doesn't do it, you should be able to do it yourself if you're comfortable that way or contact a licensed immigration lawyer. Also, havd you checked with your employer for the work permit extension

Who's your employer?.. And will they tell us in advance whether they will sponsor for our employer specific work permit or not?
Any idea which companies usually sponsor for employees?
You will have to ask the employer when being interviewed. Based on my experience, most of the big US or global companies offer sponsorships but there can be exceptions. Always check beforehand when you receive the interview call
After Bachelors of 4 years in civil engineering should o go for 1 yarr PGDM or 2 years for fast PR?
Is it matter to have private or public university like I choose Yorkville university

I went to a public college and my experience was good. In regards to classes, I will recommend attending them in person instead of online as you get meet your classmates and professors. This will help you in study material and also build networks that could help you later on 👍

Hi Aditya, if your mba is from canada then I expect it to help towards your PR as my education in Canada did. Also, I will suggest check CIC website for educational assessments as for every individual case things can be different

8 months course gives you maximum 1 year PGWP
After one year study & one year work permit, when u applied for express entry, how many days before expiry of work permit

Hi Narinder, I dont remember the exact dates. But, I do recall my pg work permit expired after 1 year and my employer made sure to extend my work permit on time so I have a valid status and continue to work ..hope this helps 👍
Please advise. Study permit and one year study program both are expiring at tha same time ie on 30 April 2023. It means there will be no time for filing and getting pgwp as it can be filed only after getting results and takes 90 days. Don’t want to take another study program. Is there any way out to extend the permit.

Hello, Please explain below line’s mention in OINP program. does this effect in your PNP application also it is impossible to find a college in Ontario who fulfills below conditions !
in order to be eligible, your one-year program must require a completed degree as an admission requirement. One-year programs are ineligible if they require a degree or a diploma, or “a degree or work experience”, or similar
So you take 2 years in total. One year of study and one for gaining Canadian experience?

After 12th, not sure what course you are planning to do but if looking at the point based system you could lose points on education criteria. Please do check if pnp is something for which you can qualify. Please refer to cic website 👍

Hi Ashna, I have seen several people getting 3 year work permit. That being said, it depends on individual cases and could vary for every case. All the very best 👍

There is an employer specific work permit in which you get to work only for that specific employer.

I have doubt regarding same kinda pattern, i have my bachelor and masters from India and 2 years of work experience and currently i'm doing project management (Sept 2023-Apr 2024). Currently rules have changed and i'm only planning to do 1 course +1 work permit, can OINP help me or should i apply for express entry draw or any other pathway??

Thanks brother for the support 🙂 as per my experience after studies, the post graduate work permit is a one time opportunity. But, if you are working and waiting for decision on pr application under Express entry then you can apply for extension to maintain your status. Hope this helps 👍

Hi Nikhil, If you are on employer specific work permit, then employer has to extends your permit .. if on pgwp and waiting for pr then bowp can be considered..hope this helps 👍

Hi Siva, game development and animation is in good demand. So, once he/she find a job then he/she has to check if qualified and meets the requirements for pr. If they find an employer who can do all that for him/her that is much better 👍

It depends under which category you're applying. Mine was under CEC so my employer took care of everything

If your study visa is only 1 year, you can try enrolling in another program to extend it. Otherwise, depending on your course/school once you get PGWP that will allow you to stay and work after your studies
Is there convocation ceremony for 1 year pg diploma? Asking bcoz I want to invite my parents using that reason for visa
When I did pgdm there was no convocation ceremony for my program .. please do check with the college you are applying as every college can have a different format for graduation 👍

Hi , This video is really helpful. I have 7 years of experience in IT as a Test Engineer and I have been trying for job offers in canada but unable to get from India inspite of applying in many sites as the common question is do u have eligibility to work in Canada. After watching this video I think going for one year education would open more opportunities and would increase my skillset and points to my CRS profile as I have only 333 points now so could you suggest me the one year courses which would be value added to my work experience or any other suggestions in my case.

Brother, it depends on case by case basis. I have seen people only getting 8 months pgwp and also others getting 1 year pgwp

1/2 Working from home for a company in another country doesn't count as working in Canada. The limitation of 20 hours doesn't apply.
2/2 But, as a study permit holder, you have several conditions that you still must follow. If work interferes with your studies, for instance, you could be breaking your study permit conditions.
I will suggest checking with IRCC and also a licensed immigration lawyer to understand the law and your exact scenario before making any decision.

Hi Ajay, cloud computing is good as more and more companies are migrating their application and services to the cloud. I will suggest check out my video on job prospects and see what companies are looking in an employee for such job profiles. Also, that will give you an idea about the respective noc. As that should give an idea if you will be able to land a job and qualify for PR based on further criteria. Hope this helps 👍

Hi Sarbjit, is your question about the PR application fees or expenses involved in 2 year diploma? Because after studies + work permit, it depends on your employer like in my case i didnt spend anything as my employer did everything for me. Otherwise, the cost will be usually PR application fees and if you're hiring a lawyer/consultant then there fees as well. Hope this helps 👍

@@sarbjitsinghkhehra7791 for pr application fees, check cic website as it updates sometimes last time I checked it was around $800 something.. ielts should be another $300-350 something and medical fees depends on the age and kind of tests but I think approx somewhere around $200-300 ..As I mentioned above, please do check CIC website to make sure you know the correct and updated amounts for all the above so you can plan your expenses accordingly ..👍

Hi Kiran, knowledge of macros in excel can surely help as there several courses involving annuity calc etc in excel .. if you know programming then once have PM knowledge you can target IT project related roles as well.. like technial PMs .. otherwise non technical PM roles are also there

I need some information regarding one plus one program.
My Current Course is going to be completed in Dec,2021. Right Now, I am living in British Columbia with my relatives and doing a part time job. So, I am familiar to this place now and thinking to pursue my next curriculum from British Columbia. Therefore, my collage and province will be changed. Please tell me will it effect my work permit or PR application in future if I would be having study of two provinces.

Hi Karam, mere 3.4 de aas pass GPA sigga .. changa GPA taan help karda hi hain transcript te but oh zada job layi help karega.. PR layi taan tuhadi education qualification and work exp matter karda hain marks nahi..tuhada minimum GPA taan hona chahida hain graduate karan layi.. all the very best for your studies 👍

I plan not to take a second course after my first Pg diploma course. So if I get an NOC B job during my pgwp and submit my PR application just before few days of expiry of my pgwp., Will I be able to stay in Canada and work till I get my PR approval?( In case my employer is not willing to give a closed work permit). I'm currently studying 1 year program in Canada and my concern is, what if I'm not able to find a job on time and there's a duration of pgwp remaining idle?
Consequently, I'll miss the point for 1 year Canadian work exp and be not a CEC candidate.
I will suggest start applying for jobs from way before you graduate so you understand where you stand in the job market and learn about any hurdles in advance. This is what I did. Trust me if you manage to find a good employer they will go an extra mile to accommodate your requirements 👍

Sir which NOC Code is applicable for Mechanical Engineer with Project Management experience? I cant find it anywhere.
You should be able to find the noc codes using the link mentioned in the video description. I have quickly checked and I found these couples of codes noc 2132 Mechanical engineers skill level A and noc 2232 Mechanical engineering technologists and technicians skill level B. With management experience, it might fall under engineering managers. Please refer to the link for more information. Hope this helps 👍

Your spouse might be eligible for a work permit if you are enrolled as a full time student in a college or university. I will suggest checking with IRCC to make sure your program of study is eligible for this 👍
