Having ridden all active EPB's I know I have ridden the one in the film, when I worked for BR I changed the lamps on the ol' 4SUB's and in the 70s rode the slow boats to E Croydon from London Bridge which had still then the corridor compartment coaches on the slow services and they were magnificent trains. First class comfort in 2nd calls prices. Always will have a soft spot in me heart for the ol' SR electric units
I really loved them electric 3 carriages especially the all blue one with the British railway sign on the drivers doors and yellow at front I started traveling on them when I was about 4 or 5 in the 80s then they got rid of them in the late 90s I think not sure is that museum still there mate, all the best godbless you,
Hi Thumpy :-). Its Foxy speaking and typically an excellent video Thumpy :-). It is specifically well made and well filmed :-). But slightly emotional too seeing that Sunday 8th October 2017 was your last time ever to attend the Electric Railway Museum :-(. Its a shame to see it permanently close Thumpy :-(. Its a dreadful shame when things eventually close permanently :-( :-(. Sometimes it can hurt me seeing things like railway museums have permanent closures :-(. I can really feel the emotionality when I hear about either an old former mainline train eventually stops running along a certain mainline or a railway museum no longer opens to the public. It does sadly happen eventually :-(. Oh well. But thanks ever so much for sharing this video Thumpy and well done for filming this just before it permanently closed. Well done :-). I'm certainly looking forward to seeing your channel in the nearish future Thumpy whenever I can :-). Alright then, have a nice evening Thumpy, plus I wish you all the best and take care of yourself Thumpy :-). From your friend Foxy :-).
To all you people who think these units will work you can be said as Wrong and Right. Wrong: No Heritage Railway has 3rd or 4th Rail Right: They might work on Railtours on the Southern Zone/Network Rail.
Hope the units will be put on railways were they will be restored to working use

Wahoo! Lets hope all these heritage units find heritage railways that actually put them to good use :)
I hope they've found homes for all the exhibits

Another part of Britain's railway heritage makes way for commercial interests!
You`re gone, we want the land to make a fortune with...... Bastards.
