Ok first thing that struck me host using the word "Adyair Umar". All throughout the video you are talking about how the characters in the show are judgemental and showing prejudice against color, height, etc. I thought the host started off the video doing the same being judgemental and calling names for unmarried people of a certain age range. Also if someone is accepting on national television that they are lonely. I think it takes a lot of courage to do so and it's admirable than being mocked for. There were a lot of aspects of the show that I didn't accept but I think it's also very important to be sensitive towards the people that are involved in the show and not ridicule them to such a level as they are real people. Rather than writing letter to Seema Aunty, write one to Families, and People who set such criteria. She is just a mediator doing her job, fulfilling the requirements of her clients. We say times are changing such criterias, checklists are antiquated, take one look to matrimonial ads and apps ,those still exist. The show is horrible but it's also very much Real. By showing high class here, they meant that these are families so educated, well to do nd all but still their Mental state still same..
My dear shantanu , Not everyone is like me and you who doesn’t care about color or or height, Grooms and bride demand all these things, So sima is just serving that only
@@ShanPrasher I dont understand why some new age Indians are pretending this is all new and shocking to them. Dont you read the papers. Just look at the matrimonial coloumn, its far worse than its portrayed in the show. Casteism shadism and racism are so open and bare in society it shocks the daylights out of foreign visitors. Go on the streets or in your neighbourhood and ask people their views and even in 2020 most Indians will agree with the show and call it a liberal view.
I honestly wish people like the matchmaker did not exist, so that atleast a fraction of these people never find their toxic twin to procreate with thus ending their casteist, racist and straight up misogynist lineage with them. JaiMataDi. XD
Akshay reminds me of this extremely wealthy Indian guy who liked me in college. He was extremely rich like Akshay and lived in a huge palace like house too. He wanted to introduce me to his parents and be with me forever as he put it, even though we weren’t dating lol I was just his friend and went out with him a couple of times. Like Akshay, he had no idea how to talk to a female. He had never even kissed a girl or anything. I told him I wasn’t interested and he asked me if the reason I didn’t like him was because he was black (he was very dark skinned), which really opened my eyes about colorism in India. I’m not Indian so I was a bit confused as to why he would say that until I learned just how important skin color is in India. His parents would have probably disowned him if he would have started a relationship with me because I’m not Indian lol
Well it isn't wrong if he didn't kiss anyone. It's normal in India. We just wait to marry before doing all that & him wanting to introduce you to his parents means he was really serious about you because that's a huge thing in India coz we normally hide even our opposite sex friends too as parents will scold us for it
Loved the roast Shantanu. These couples don't end up together. And it's scripted to some extent as Nadia ke third date pe Vipul didn't ghost her, he actually justifies it on social media. Akshay breaks the engagement the next day.
I think that’s the actual reality of our Indian society especially for the people who believe that they’re far more educated and are the heterodox. They say something else and they follow and do something else...that’s why our society isn’t able to develop in a way it should be developed.
Shantanu I don't think it is fair to say things what you said about Sima . When she talks about height, fairness, and caste, it is not her who dictates that she is a matchmaker she is supposed to find matches based on family preferences
This docu series showcases some bitter truth and harsh realities which do exist in the Indian System but I feel the way it has been executed or showcased like kind of people portrayed in the series, the millennial generation is not being able to relate with such stereotypes and that's the reason why lot of negative comments are pouring in for the show. But I feel its helping Netflix making it a commercial potboiler and people should watch it in a fun manner..
We watched this show and I think it reflects to a great extent what people are looking in their partner. It is unfair to say Sima Taparia is judgmental, she is just telling what people are looking for. Even in this day today, people do pay importance to looks, color, height, money etc. and that is reality whether we like it or not. It is true few people on that show were annoying and irritating to us, but it is who they are. It is wrong for us to be judgemental about these people.
Totally agree with everything you said Akshay and his mother were biggest disappointment. Can’t believe such mummy daddy controlled remote controls exist It’s not relatable at all.

Seema aunty is a product of people's demands. She knows that in their minds people judge their potential partners on all these bases but they don't say it out loud many times. This sadly does not go well with people because no one wants to compromise on their idea of a “perfect” partner!
Bhai Akshay ki shaadi nai hui thankfully. It was just an engagement which he broke off the very next day😂
The last nail in the coffin was the decision to name it "INDIAN" match making
It was best comedy show 😂... I just watched and laughed a lot
Brother, I belong to a lower middle class family, but I and my family do not have such a bad thinking for women.
That guy Akshay, O God, he was with the second most cringe mentality on the show(first one is his mom, definitely). He wants someone just like his mom because he is so obsessed with her that he doesn't even a piece of brownie without her permission. His mother has him into her clenches so tight that he is just an immature mamma's puppet. But jab kismat me likhe ho pakode, to lag hi nahi sakte lau**. He gets matched to a pretty, tall, well educated Chartered Accountant.
God works in mysterious ways.
And when he said..I can't eat that brownie..my mom will kill me...
@@bahnikasen6114 Exactly.. how can someone control you so much and how can you let someone do that. We all respect our mothers but there is always a line. Agar thoda bhi aur control show karte to Oedipus Syndrome ka case ho jata..
Yes but he broke the engagement reasoning he couldn't even talk to her for 5mins, how can he spend the rest of his life with this girl. But in reality, I'm sure, radhika dumped this Mama's boy.
@@luluelmaknunfariha4428 I am sure you're right. But whosoever broke it, I am happy for the girl. She avoided being caught in an unbreakable trap.
Absolutely! Once married Akshay would have asked her to leave her job, sit at home, prepare his tiffin and tc of their kids. She would have regretted it.
I live in the US and the show has already made it to CNN news on how Indian judge people for marriage
All indians
Next Netflix will be producing kahan ghar ghar ki 🤦🏻♂️
Rather than writing letter to Seema Aunty, write one to Families, and People who set such criteria. She is just a mediator doing her job, fulfilling the requirements of her clients.
We say times are changing such criterias, checklists are antiquated, take one look to matrimonial ads and apps ,those still exist. The show is horrible but it's also very much Real. By showing high class here, they meant that these are families so educated, well to do nd all but still their Mental state still same..
Blame her too for opting that as a JOB
My dear shantanu , Not everyone is like me and you who doesn’t care about color or or height, Grooms and bride demand all these things, So sima is just serving that only
My dear Ishita,
Whoever has these demands, they are straight up idiots.
That I know bud. I knoe a friend who is looking for a groom and her demands are just like Aparna. She rejects every boy
@@ShanPrasher idiot nahi chutiya, chutiye hai sab ke sab
JaiMataDi. XD
This channel is Underrated!! Sharing this video as much as possible. Wish you 100k soon, and then 1M 😊♥️

Getting married is like jumping in front of train many many times !
We just wait to marry before doing all that & him wanting to introduce you to his parents means he was really serious about you because that's a huge thing in India coz we normally hide even our opposite sex friends too as parents will scold us for it
"Basically tum unhe hindustani bhau bol sakte ho" that was epic 😂😂
I love how he said " multicoloured Indian audiences" !
Loved the roast Shantanu. These couples don't end up together. And it's scripted to some extent as Nadia ke third date pe Vipul didn't ghost her, he actually justifies it on social media. Akshay breaks the engagement the next day.
Omg I saw the show trailer and was waiting for your words on this😂 worth the anticipation
"Four more shots please" in reality show
He has already done its review.. n its very good 👍

I think that’s the actual reality of our Indian society especially for the people who believe that they’re far more educated and are the heterodox. They say something else and they follow and do something else...that’s why our society isn’t able to develop in a way it should be developed.
Never wanted this video to end, it exponentially better than the one zain and shubham did
Shantanu I don't think it is fair to say things what you said about Sima .
You deserve 1M Subs (minimum) bro.,.
I dont blame Sima Taparia.. its just what people demand.. she does not make these criteria..
Totally agree with everything you said
Akshay and his mother were biggest disappointment.
Can’t believe such mummy daddy controlled remote controls exist
It’s not relatable at all.
Yes your are right..
'veg momo'and 'veg biriyani' there is nothing called veg momo and veg biriyani.
No shade on veg biryani. dictionary.cambridge.org/de/worterbuch/englisch/biryani
Kasam se Akshay ko dekh ke khoon kholta hai 😂😂🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
But still a CA is marrying him.money talks😅😅
@@happyjollyjolly8850 first of all unki engagement tut chuki h kab ki or dusra....ak C.A ko kisi or se paise k liye shadi krne ki kha se jrurat pad gai? 🤣
FINALLY !! Someone has spoken the truth. Akshay wala case ,well quoted 👍 By god , I was so agitated while I was watching the show in 2x speed 🙄
Glad to see you a long time after movie reviews, you're funny
"nahi woh momo hai aur nahi woh biryani" dude you have my entire respect for those words, I bow to thee!
I love how candid and into it shan's reviews always are 🤣
Please marry me 🙏
It's hard to find a bride nowadays, even tougher than clearing civil services.
Also a decent groom.
You can find a unicorn but not a decent groom 😂

Never heard my name being taken that many times! This Aparna did me dirty 😭
Hhaha!
The fact is that this happens in our country.., that makes it even more funnier
Unfortunately, this is the reality. Rather than bashing the show, we must bash our society.
Indian Arrange Marriage is basically the insurance schemes for the caste system and all of the problems which caste system has produced in India.
God knows y Netflix India is doing this to us. In other countries netflix hve shows like Dark, Black Mirror, Stranger Things, Altered Carbon, etc. Bt in India netflix gives us IndianMatch making, Beetal. Y netflix y???
Uhm indian matchmaker also shows in de netherland
Although I have already watched this video, I'm watching it again, and god, Shan's video making and presentation has grown immensely! The honesty level is still the same but the humor n entertainment is so better n captivating now! Still, it's these videos that made me subscribe him n I'm glad I did ❤
you are getting better with every review good to see that now you actually review the show not like the honest review times when you and zain only used to crack jokes..
Isn't this what indian arranged marriages are? Your parents deciding someone for you based on looks and salary. The middle class still wants their daughters to not have an opinion about their marriage
Akshay = My ex explained, surprisingly his name was Akshay too 🤣
Seema aunty is a product of people's demands. She knows that in their minds people judge their potential partners on all these bases but they don't say it out loud many times. She considers all these qualities because she already knows that this is what people want. The better you judge the better matchmaker you are.
Sima aunty is just doing her business...show is the reality of Indian society...
I was just waiting for this video to happen!! love it :D
Believe it or not that's the reality of our society every one wants the best 😂😂😂
What is the definition of 'best'?
These standards are set by public perception.
What a command on language, you have made me laugh so much that my stomach is hurting.
I saw one of your videos and can’t stop watching more.
Thank you Shantanu Ji👌
Again the letter 🤣🤣waaaoooo yr 🙌🤣
"Annoying Aparna" is really Annoying 😂😂😂
Waiting for the day when you came to make men's XP just for one day as guest to roast salman Khan for his best hit flop movies 😂😂😂 can't imagine how much funny it will be to see three of you
I fucking hate stereotyping for suitable rishta . I am short and wheatish. And the fucking judgements I had to endure from people coming to see me for marriage for an year. Its humiliating and degrading and Netflix making money from making such show???
"basically tum unko hindustani bhau bol sakte ho" oh my god xDDDDDDDD
Always love your content !! Damn funny and honest
Well put , well expressed, very much appreciate the way you have it to your heart and addressed the obvious elephant in the room, who nofuckinbody even wants to accept. Thank you for this Review. Much Respect and Much love to you !! 😘🙏🏻🌸🌸
I was waiting for your review... Worth it🤣🤣👏👏
Problem with this show is, no self respecting family displays the process of finding a suitable match for their child. They don't even tell their close relatives until these things are finalized. I am not sure these families featured, want the matches to happen or the motive is to become famous on TV.
Do yourself a favor. Don’t get married. Have a partner but not marriage, not kids.
Lol I died at the Aparna and sima part. Great video!! I will say this show is a reflection on most indian matchmaking. I’ve seen people get turned down for the most stupid reasons. I think it’s an awful reflection of indian society but I don’t think it’s far from reality
A mirror of Indian society !
