Hello Matt, thanks for this video. I’m a medical laboratory technologist working here in UAE and has been applying working VISA through CGFNS. I’ve found out that one of their requirements is the IELTS with a total bands core of 6.5 and band 7 in speaking which the only lacking requirement I have right now. How come your video does not include the English sufficiency test?
What if you don’t have any training experience? I’m studying here in the Philippines, and our internship is only 6 months and online too since there is a pandemic. We’ll be graduating this august. I have a dual citizenship so am not planning to take the local board here.

Hi I just want to ask you about the training that is required in California. My problem is I only have 6 months of training in the Philippines, because that time they changed the curriculum and now I wanted to know if it’s acceptable or should I take a 1 year internship? Hope to hear from you. Thanks.
Hey Matt. This is a very informative video. Would you know, if I study in the PI, would my choice of university (DDC) allow me to do internship back in US?

What is the minimum requirement for bed capacity? Is it okay to gain experience in a 102-bed capacity general hospital?
Hello Sir 👋🏼 I think you should choose the tertiary hospital as a generalist. Because at the end of the day you will still need the blood bank experience. CDPH-LFS will still ask you to complete your work experience requirements. I’m not pretty sure if they are asking for work experience in a big hospital. But rather your experience in all departments. Hello 👋 That’s a really good question, my 1 year internship is actually part of my MT program in the PH. In my university we had the option to choose between 1 year and 6 months internship. Granted that if you applied for the 1 year internship you’d delay graduation but I think the pay off in the long run is worth it. 🤓

May credential maintenance rin po ba ‘to? Like ASCP
Yes there is. You would need 24 units to renew your license.
Is WES Evaluation accepted
Hello, yes it is :)
hello po Sir. Matt, ask ko lang what if di pa RMT and you only have ASCPi. and ung internship kase namin dati is 6 mnths only. pwede kaya un? and i work as phlebotomist/lab tech sa isang tertiary hospital. accepted kaya un sa Cali? thank you Godbless.
Good question Ma’am it will really depend on the visa you have.
As far as i know po, work visa usually require a complete rotation in the laboratory. ☺️
As far as 6months internship, CA is kinda strict in regards to this po. You can repeat your internship here in the US po or you can try your luck po on a different state. You can email CDPH-LFS po regarding this as well for they are the appropriate authorities of the matter po 🤓
@@itsmattem thank you so much! Godbless your UA-cam Channel
IELTS is not required?
Tbh, I think IELTS is needed, depending on the visa you have 😅
I have an IR-2 visa so i didnt take it, but i think it is required for work visa and such 🤓
Thank you! I subscribed! 🙃
hi po sa usa na po gagawin tong step n to or before going there?
In my opinion, It would be easier to mail in your requirements (school to CDPH-LFS) if you are in the Philippines.
Hey how much are u getting paid right now?
I will make a future video regarding this, stay tuned! 🤓
@@itsmattem just give me a quick answer now bro.

Hey friend. I have a question about my work experience: I have taken ASCPi but my work experience (6 years) is from another country. Does it make any problem for California licensure?
