Νικήτη Σιθωνία Χαλκιδική από ψηλά/Nikiti Sithonia Halkidiki from above - Drone 4K Video (April 2024)

☆ Η Νικήτη είναι κωμόπολη της Χαλκιδικής και πρωτεύουσα του δήμου Σιθωνίας. Απέχει από τη Θεσσαλονίκη 101 χλμ. και 36 χλμ. από τον Πολύγυρο, την πρωτεύουσα του νομού Χαλκιδικής. Κύρια ασχολία των κατοίκων είναι ο τουρισμός, η παραγωγή ελαιολάδου και η μελισσοκομία.
Στη θέση Καστρί έχει βρεθεί προϊστορικός οικισμός.
Η ονομασία Νικήτη προέρχεται από τη γῆ τοῦ Νεακίτου, μετόχι της Μονής Ξενοφώντος ήδη από το 1300, που τοποθετείται στην περιοχή της σημερινής Ψαλίδας, λίγο πριν τη διασταύρωση προς Μαρμαρά. Η επίσημη ονομασία του χωριού από την εποχή της αναγνώρισης της κοινότητας το 1918 ήταν γνωστή από τους χάρτες και τα διάφορα επίσημα έγγραφα ως κοινότητα "Νικήτα".
Η ονομασία αυτή παρέμεινε μέχρι και το 1988, όπου μετέπειτα η ονομασία άλλαξε επισήμως σε "Νικήτη".
Κοντά στη Νικήτη βρέθηκε το επιτύμβιο ενός Ρωμαίου αποίκου της Κασσάνδρειας, ο οποίος κατοικούσε εδώ είτε σε κάποια αγροτική έπαυλη είτε στον κοντινό ρωμαϊκό οικισμό (στη θέση «Άγιος Γεώργιος»), όπου τοποθετείται πιθανώς και η αρχαία Φυσκέλλη.
Η ιστορία του χωριού ξεκίνησε με την ίδρυση του πρώτου συνοικισμού, το 14ο αιώνα. Σε έγγραφα της Μονής του Ξενοφώντος αναφέρεται αυτός ο εποικισμός.
Ο παλαιός οικισμός της Νικήτης, όπου σε αυτόν έχουν ανακαλυφθεί σημαντικά παλαιοντολογικά ευρήματα, εντυπωσιάζει, με τα πλακόστρωτα καλντερίμια και τα παραδοσιακά σπίτια, χτισμένος σε λόφο γύρω από την εκκλησία του Αγίου Νικήτα.☆
☆ Nikiti is a small town in Halkidiki and capital of the municipality of Sithonia. It is 101 km from Thessaloniki and 36 km from Polygyros, the capital of the prefecture of Halkidiki. The main occupation of the inhabitants is tourism, olive oil production and beekeeping.A prehistoric settlement has been found in Kastri.
The name Nikiti comes from the land of Neakitou, a monastery of the monastery of Xenophontos as early as 1300, located in the area of today's Psalida, just before the junction to Marmaras.
