    Palantir is the new Sun Tzu. The incredible general who comes out of nowhere re invents war and the case for morality and leaves the most compelling legacy of all time. PLTR will eventually explode into the entire structure of every company who can afford it. Artificial Intelligence is here to stay. Nothing short of a Carrington (Atomic war) event can stop it. In fact they probably can see farther into the future than anyone else anticipating this kind of event. There is no other national security company with domestic utility that I feel as good investing in. I'm all in and don't care about the short term downside. Selling my Hawaii property to get better set up into this stock big time. It WILL get exponential ~ Wishing all to get it on the dip.

    The way I view Palantir is by having more conservative estimations in the day-to-day(I would be very surprised if they do meaningfully more than 2.7 billion in revenue) but with optionality for rapid growth an undetermined point in the future when they start monetizing the seeds they've sown. That optionality is why I prefer not to sell even if the valuation is often stretched.

    Think of Palantir as a growth company ...a very slow growth company...with occasional exuberance.

      I bought PLTR at 17 . I knew they had great potential but the stock would be very volatile in the short term ...I am not too worried about it.

      They are not a slow growth company they are growing commercial clients 70% their government business is growing slowly . Which is to be expected. . Their government business is stable and like owning a put option . They are at a high valuation and have too many shares outstanding . That is the argument

    The problem today is derivatives. So many people were bullish and bought calls. The big money sold the calls they will push it down to take premium. But the long-term should do well.

    Thank you for sharing. Financial education is crucial today to show incredible resilience and discipline in the volatile market, masterfully balancing strategy and insight for success. This dedication to continuous learning is inspiring...managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.1BTC to a decent 15B TC in the space of a few weeks... I'm especially grateful to Linda Wilburn, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape..

    No matter what they reported, the stock was going to drop. I made a huge profit trading options cos I knew it was going to come down post earnings. This is how it’s going to be for a while before the stock price stabilizes. I’m bullish on pltr but understand that wallstreet is still trading the volatility to make short term profits. In my other account, I’ve been selling when it goes above $25 and buying back when it drops below $22 and I’ve gotten over 2000 shares for free by just doing that

    The thing you missed in 23.6% vs 23.3% growth is, the new FY2025 estimate is compared to the new estimate of FY2024, while the old is compared to the old, and that is why the growth- % is smaller, even though the revenue is bigger.

    Last year was the first year that it turned profitable, which saw the turnaround in the stock from bearish to bullish. In the previous quarter the market sold it off as it had doubts it would achieve its target because it's record wasn't proven yet. So when revenue came in .9% higher then it had to catch up after being sold off.
    During the last quarter the Fed wasn't as dovish as the market wanted to see so all tech stocks sold off. We're now back to a more dovish Fed which is good news for Tech.
    The other thing is that the net income is now at 16.6% and trending up. But it's forecast is just 8c over the next 2 quarters and cash has dropped to $500m from $1B. So this doesn't look so hot.
    However, it's now a proven growth stock in the hottest tech sector. So even if it languishis under $25 for the next month or so, as the Fed turns more dovish then I see it hitting $31 by mid June and about $50 after the next earnings on August 05.

    • @RickRandRMarketingllc
      @RickRandRMarketingllc Місяць тому

      They also diluted their shares by 8%. Which is a smart move considering the growth they're in but that is significant and no doubt is a drag on the price.

    • @selfrighteous88
      @selfrighteous88 Місяць тому

      $50 per share in August? That seems way farfetched to me. I think it's going to take a lot more than a benevolent Fed move to get the price that high -- only some otherworldly earnings call might do that, which is out of the question, realistically, I think. In any case -- go PLTR!

    Gaap eps grew by 30% i think 22 is fare for 40% growth 18 would be fare for 30%. However alex karp insinuated in the call that palantir is poised to double its client base, that doesnt mean that they will in a qt. It does mean that it can grow by 2x without any more re investments in infustructuer , so i would like to think if they dont announce a buy back they are gaining traction to fill their existing infustructuer and using capital to moderatly expand ahead of demand

    I was same as you , I was up $4 , my tp was $33 cuz that’s what my next resistance line at. End up stopping out at entry . I knew buy the rumor and sell the news but I think I put too much expectation on this stock that’s why I didn’t sell at high, what a roller coaster ride

      Same- I literally looked at the profits and I was like… honestly I know what I’m holding and I don’t even want to risk selling to secure profits. What IF we sold and the stock just rockets.
      They say never buy into something you don’t believe in- I’d rather pass up short term profits for the long term hold.

    My account is down $231,000 roughly from the $27.50 high... no sour grapes. Break even is $16.01. This is a hiccup and i would like to see a new base in the $19.00 to $21.00 area form for several weeks to 2 months

  • @roningham
    @roningham Місяць тому

    I agree. Yes, we beat in many areas. Great, that should be a given. I've been laser focused on customer count. I was rather disappointed with Q1 numbers in this area. YOY we grew 147 new customers or 53%… after 700+ boot camps?? That’s crap. Where is this "unprecedented demand," this “so much demand we don’t know what to do” bluster from Karp for the past 6 months? Overall, I am still bullish for sure, it just seems the company is much farther behind than I believed. I now interpret Karp's statements about "unprecedented demand" as more "solid demand." All this said, I am willing to hear a different perspective on our customer count...

    You haven’t lost anything if you haven’t sold. I wanted to see the results of the sales team they’ve invested 15 months ago to show results, not to hear Karp to keep saying “nascent sales team”, which is a bit worrisome. To me it seems like they’re not using their talent wisely. I was excited to hear they were bring their European talent here to help with US demand, but with time to reflect I asked myself “is using engineers to sell products the best use of their talent and what happened to their expanded sales team?”. Hopefully I’m missing something.

      Yeah. Many retail investors change their judgement just based on the price action. Human emotion is really hard to overcome. But In my option pltr did a very good quarter and the thesis about the company doesn’t change. I want to add more but have no money now😂. I lost 150k that single day. But still bullish. And frankly speaking if you keep investing in this company monthly with your extra money, and keep doing it for 10 years, you cannot lose
