People's say "He's 24" so what about Davin Haney (23), Shakur Stevenson (24), Jaron Ennis (24), Vergil Ortiz (24). Berlanga isn't on these boxer's level. Clearly

Remember - GGG did away with rolls easily. There is a huge strength and power difference between Berlanga and high level fighters. I don't see where Berlanga fits in?
Rolls didn't fight scared, he boxed and Berlanga was hurt more than Rolls.

I'm starting to loose interest in Berlanga. His last two fights have been disappointing. He didn't look like he had anything to give in this fight and didn't deserve the win.

Some people were saying Berlanga would beat the likes of GGG,Canelo etc.

Out of his prime GGG made easy work of Rolls and brutally knocked him out unconcious.
And Berlanga just got schooled by Rolls.
This just shows even at this age how good GGG is compared to these young "supposed" to be top prospects.

Good learning fight for Berlanga, Roll's showed you can't just build up a record of KO'ing everyone early, there's levels and these are the type of fights a young up coming fighter needs to develop and realise not to rely only on power.

Everyone who’s saying Berlanga is young and needs more experience needs to realize that he’s 24 years old and been fighting for 6 years. If he hasn’t learn enough by now, he never will.

Most greats have struggled with mediocre opponents in their career. He may go on to do great things or he may never fulfil his potential. This fight is no indication which of those it will be.

Close fight, could've went either way... I had it a draw personally- However, I'd consider this a *low-key* ROBBERY because...
1. It was a UD
2. 2/3 judges had BS scorecards, Berlanga won a minimum/maximum of 4-6 rounds, 7 is impossible.
3. Andre Wards unofficial scorecard was trash as usual- Only giving the "B side" the crystal clear rounds that anyone could see.

No entiendes el boxeo si solo le diste un round a Rolls. 😂 A Berlanga le rebanó la cabeza el viejo corredor. Estuvo golpeando guantes y brazos toda la noche, que es lo mismo que golpear aire fresco, no bueno. No fue un robo, pero podría haber sido de tres maneras. Berlanga ganó entre 4-6 rondas. 💯

@@The_Hater_AKA_Truth_Teller Ve la pelea otra vez, y fijate quien dio los punos contundentes. Rolls en el round 7 fue donde peleo de verdad. Lo demas era Jabs y hecharse hacia atras. Berlanga fallo que lo tenia en las cuerdas varias veces y no tiro combinaciones. Pero Rolls no gano la pelea. Los jueces la vieron unanime por algo..
Berlanga claramente ganó los primeros 4 rounds y los últimos 2.

GGG kills Edgar for sure and Rolls won this fight, hands down . Anyway don't forget Edgar has suffered a very bad injury ... let's see the next fight but he has to chose the next opponent very carefully ... a big dog can hurts him definitely ...

En cambio Berlanga Lucio una máquina hasta llegar a 16 , 16. Apenas subieron el Nivel no hay una sola pelea que se pueda Decir que a lucido como un futuro campeón ..
A, Berlanga con el tiempo lo usarán de escalón para subir a futuros Boxeadores...
Lo mismo que le esperaba a Verdejo hantes de caer en la cárcel . Que ya no tenía quijada y lo iban a usar para como escalón con los futuros jóvenes que vinieran subiendo y que prometieran mucho en el Boxeo.

Rolls just showed the blueprints to beat this guy. Keep moving, keep popping and don't let him set. EB was terrible, following Rolls around the ring/not cutting it off, flat footed, looking for 1 big punch. This is why you can't rely on just power alone.
After 5 rounds commentator goes "I've Berlanga up 3 rounds to 2". Really? He barely won round 4, Rolls won the rest fair and square.

I'll accept the first judges card, it was close enough fight, but 97-93 was mental. Berlanga seems a bit of a hype job to me. May have heavy hands, but he is ponderous with his feet on teh way in and moves into range without throwing anything way too often. Bit taking time off boxing so this was first fight of his I've watched, so maybe I picked a bad one to watch.
IMO Rolls clearly won.
Good learning fight for berlanga if he learns from it, cause he sounded critical of his opponent, but it's his flaws that are highlighted.
He got out boxed for long periods, but he was the powerhouse in there.
Edgar "Big Daddy" Berlanga was lucky to get this decision.

The crossover from prospect to contender is a steep curve, blow guys out all you want in 1 round but dont dwell on it too much as it can prove costly as you start step in with operators of a higher IQ, Berlanga! Your now at a level where 1 dimension fighting isnt going to cut it, 1 punch wont settle it, if you cant jab at the level your now at and set up your shots your in trouble kid

Edgar is stronger. Steve did not deliver punches strong enough to daze Edgar, but he gathered more points.
Whoever fight Edgar next, if his arm is as long, can give Edgar problem by quick straight punches.🎉🎉🎉.
EB was so bothered by that left jab he did not know what to do in rounds 5-8. I saw this fight as a draw giving rounds 1, 5-8 to Rolls. I just hope that after 3 consecutive decision wins by EB he should have realized and learned by now that he can't rely on his power every time and not end up like Efe Ajagba.
But damn! Idk how he thought Rolls was fighting scared. Rolls fought him smartly and really almost beat him and he thinks the guy is scared of him. LOL!
berlanga has been pro for 6 years now. had 19 fights. those first round kos did not do him any favours. and now they are trying to mould him into a boxer. berlanga is a brawler. all he needs is a jab just like maidana needed when he went to Robert garcia.
