It's interesting to see how small details differ from nation to nation with the larger concept staying the same.
In the German military, at ease and attention are performed largely the same, with the differences that at ease has the left hand loosely holding the back of the right hand without specific instructions for the thumb.
When standing at attention, it's also mostly the same except for the fingers being naturally extended alongside the thumb instead of being curled up.

Also, I have mastered both, I was told that attention was Finger locked inner joints, so I had no idea what they meant.

My dad was retired army after 20 years. He passed away in 2016 due to complications from alcoholism. I miss him every day. Your humor is spot on and I wish I could send this to my dad. He really would have gotten a kick out of it. See you down range. 🫡

I am In JROTC, So this stuff Is very helpful, especially with my squad leader always demanding for the company to be at ease... I am a Private, so I can't say it, though I'd love to be able to command Orders one day, Especially with me planning to be in the U.S.A.F. My teacher is First Sergeant Garcia, First Name, Rene, And he is a great teacher, Anyone from the Army may know him, because he is a Retired U.S. Army Cadet.

The best way to prepare for BCT is just standing at these positions for a long time

I remember that when i was 6 my balls would feel crused when i did the attention move. I tried to do it without a underwear and it still didnt fix it. I dont get the point of doing a ball crushing exercise.
