Grand start, Dan. I can't wait to find out more about the container yard, and how Bill, Ben and Diesel are going to get along, not to mention what is going on with the mainline engines without Gordon.
Finally, after so long, I have brought myself to start watching this series. Needless to say, I'm having a blast so far. I can't believe what I've been missing out for nearly 2 years.
Fantastic! \\\this episode has come together beautifully. I'm loving the throwback to Wrong Road, with the eveninng services to Vicarstown and Brendam.
Nice job WNW. Nice to see you decided to do a Modern era for Sodor, and the bit where you mention Edward taking a branch line train five minutes after the evening run of the Wild Nor Wester, reminds me heavily of the episode 'Wrong Road'. You sir, are a genius and a true credit to the Thomas and Friends fan series community. Well done.
I was wondering when someone would pick up on the 'Wrong Road' reference. I was deliberately trying to re-create that shot, with James instead of Gordon.
Well Done WildNorWester. The story flows really well. Nice to see most of your RWS models. Well done on those too. It was well worth waiting for and can't wait to see more :)
Absolutely great to see more content from you, WildNorWester! This is a very entertaining episode, certainly a worthy start to the series. The story is brilliantly written and the models/direction are amazing. I can see you've put a great deal of effort into making this and it has definitely paid off. I can't wait for the next episode!
And it's here.... Great opening to the series, i've been looking forward to this for a long time. Handy how its airing alongside new seasons of other shows that I watch :)
Hooray! S1 STMY is here. And what a great episode to start off with. It was a really clever idea, and all in all a great, fun story. I can't wait for next week, and I'll be updating the Wikia asap! :)
I think the old ending theme was better, but i feel like this series is going off to a great start. You really are taking Sodor in a direction no one has done before. Really interesting.
I agree; they are kid-like, but the voice is very girl like. A voice like they got in the new TV TTTE episodes would be more fitting IMO. Great first episode though WNW, and can't wait to see more! Interested in seeing how the twins handle the container workload, and if they act like their usual selfs
Not quite! Edward was given his branch line! And was later joined by Boco and Donald and Douglas. The original Fat Director gave him the branch line after having helped Gordon and Henry. In each sequence. Boco had a few problems with these two. And Edward did so, too.
***** Very good start to a new era on Sodor. Perhaps you could put the extra volume from the guards' whistles into the theme songs. I could barely hear Edward's when he pulled out of Knapford.
@11:02 That's Lincoln isn't it? For a moment I wasn't sure but then I remembered your model of him comes in different liveries. This new season is of to great start. It's nice how your series adapts to modern situations. The sense of realism certainly adds to it and I know only too well that it can be a challenge to keep things interesting at times; well done :)
Yes and no. That is the Lincoln model, but it's not that character. I adapted the Class 56 model I'd made into Owen, the goods diesel of the Norramby branch. He takes goods trains from Norramby all the way down to Knapford and Barrow.
Hey Wildnorwester, brilliant start to the new series. Liked seeing the new models for the locomotives as well, gives a fresh appearance :) I know this probably a spoiler question, but is there a chance of seeing Mavis when the China Clay Works opens up again?
Where's timothy and Marion? What are they doing with the quarry closed, or is Timothy helping at the docks with Salty like in the Thomas and Friends series?
My stories don't follow the TV series. I've based them off the original Railway Series books by Reverend Wilbert Awdry and Christoper Awdry. As such, any characters who were created for the TV series only will not be appearing.
Late as usual to the party, I really liked the episode. Are you going to keep the "steamworks" idea mentioned in "Winds of Change" for the Gordon episode? -edwardsstation
Which Sir Topham Hatt? In the Railway Series continuity, which this series follows, there have been three: Sir Topham Hatt, Sir Charles Topham Hatt and Sir Stephen Topham Hatt. Each being the son of the previous one. Emily is Sir Stephen's daughter, who took over from her father. Have you seen 'Winds of Change'?
It's always a pleasure to see what you upload. I can imagine Bill and Ben playing Mental Tic Tac Toe to pass the time while they wait for work. I hope you don't mind me asking, but did filming take place before some of SI3D's 2012 models were released? I noticed some models, like Edward's coach in the beginning, were of the 2009 variety. Just curious is all. Looking forward to your future work. Keep up the good work, mate. You'll always have a viewer in me.
Amazing start Dude your stories are as close to Awdry originals as i have ever seen from a fan if you would be interested i have a future storyline idea you might be able to have fun playing around with ether way cant wait to see more
***** OK. I understand. Since you prefer keeping Emily Hatt private in Trainz and that she will take Sir Topham Hatt's place as controller of the North Western Railway in your new Sodor The Modern Years, I will still have Sir Topham Hatt as Controller of the North Western Railway in my series.
Just imagining Emily and Edward shouting to each other over James’s departure ha
LOVE the new intro and outro!
Glad that things are working both for James and the kids in the end.
Grand start, Dan. I can't wait to find out more about the container yard, and how Bill, Ben and Diesel are going to get along, not to mention what is going on with the mainline engines without Gordon.
Loved it! It's good to see you back, and really clever way of bringing a container storyline to life. Really looking forward to this season! :)
Indeed
Finally, after so long, I have brought myself to start watching this series.
Needless to say, I'm having a blast so far. I can't believe what I've been missing out for nearly 2 years.

I was wondering when someone would pick up on the 'Wrong Road' reference. I was deliberately trying to re-create that shot, with James instead of Gordon.
***** And you did it splendidly.
Jessica Black i agree
***** I picked that up in my review of the episode.
What a great start to the series! Everything flowed really well and it was interesting to see the container yards in action
it was a good idea putting Bill and Ben in the container yard as we all know what happens when those 2 get bored
Once again, fantastic work!
Very nice. I'll admit I was skeptical of your engine redesigns, thinking they'd stick out too much, but they fit in perfectly. Great work.
Great episode! Can't wait to see the next!
Amazing WNW. I really can't wait for the next episode. Fantastic!
Sorry to hear about the quarry. But at least Bill & Ben have something to keep them busy while they wait for it to reopen.
I liked that your using the RWSmodels. It majes the engines look very realistic.
A container yard that’s awesome
A lovely start to the new series :) can't wait for more to come :)
Well Done WildNorWester. The story flows really well. Nice to see most of your RWS models. Well done on those too. It was well worth waiting for and can't wait to see more :)
I'm still worried about Gordon...
Absolutely great to see more content from you, WildNorWester! This is a very entertaining episode, certainly a worthy start to the series. Great new fresh start
Good To Have You Back,WNW! Brilliant Start To The New Series!
And it's here....
Great opening to the series, i've been looking forward to this for a long time. Handy how its airing alongside new seasons of other shows that I watch :)
Can you be online tomorrow I have a script.
Thomas Kinninmonth If you PM it to me I'll get to it as soon as I can.
***** I'll send it later.
Hooray! S1 STMY is here. And what a great episode to start off with. It was a really clever idea, and all in all a great, fun story. I can't wait for next week, and I'll be updating the Wikia asap! :)
I knew that sooner or later STMY would return to UA-cam. I love your stories, and I hope they inspire me to work on my own. Keep up the AWESOME work.
Love the voices
Great Episode so far i have to get used to Emily Hatt being the fat the controller lol
I lived this great start to the series and the way u use rws models of your own just so realistic bravo wild norwester bravo
I like how you switched to RWS models.
Already looking forward to next episode
A really good episode and welcome back
very nice work! I just love how you wrote the episodes this sires. just marvelous.
I quite like this new episode!
Much awaited!! So excited for more😃😃

And so the next saga begins!
Really nice episode!! You did a very good job!! I really can't wait to see where this goes!
This is great! Can't wait for the next episode !
I like the new models. I also see you added the two numbers on the front of Bill and Ben
Well done! Edward!
man how i miss this
forget that model were changed the story is still amazing
Mrs Hatt is actually the THICC Controller
I think the old ending theme was better, but i feel like this series is going off to a great start. You really are taking Sodor in a direction no one has done before. Really interesting.
well done the rws models fit the story better(plus they look better too)
Welcome back wildnorwester
Yay! The series has finally started!
Cant wait for episode 2 to come out
It's HERE! Hooray!
I am amuse and amazed my friend great episode and great worked.
I liked the evening shot similar to 'Wrong Road'.
TBH, can't say I enjoy Bill/Ben's voices. A bit too girly.
Other than that, loved the script and filmwork as usual. Keep it up!
I agree; they are kid-like, but the voice is very girl like. A voice like they got in the new TV TTTE episodes would be more fitting IMO.
Great first episode though WNW, and can't wait to see more! Interested in seeing how the twins handle the container workload, and if they act like their usual selfs
emfarce
Well, they are voiced by a girl. It's a trick I borrowed from 'The Simpsons', to have a young male character voiced by a girl.
***** They did that in MLP too. Cathy Welsluck, a girl, voices Spike, a young male character.
***** It's certainly interesting; can't say I agree with it, but I can see how people would like it.
emfarce i kinda agree about the voice i like the cgi series bill and ben
Yes its finally here
Finally here!!! iloved it!!!
Definitely worth the wait :D
Looking forward to the series! Great Ep! Thanks for a great birthday present pal!
You're welcome. Happy birthday for yesterday!
Very good.
amazing work my friend thank you for replying to my review journal on dieventart
Yes good new models
Ur the best wildnorwester
nice
It's finally here! :D
this was well worth the wait! amazing job! (but its gonna take a while to get used to the new fat controller) :D
Emily is a very appropriate replacement that's for sure
TFC: The Engines call me the Fat Controller
Ben: But you're not fat
Great episode! So around when can we expect the next episode; I'm already excited!
I'll be uploading them weekly, just like I've always done.
So far so good! I was intrigued the entire episode! Great start I say!!!
took a while
but its great
What agl greay series start! You've got some of the best talent around and you deserve more subscribers! Keep up the good work
Edward to the rescue again!
Wait don't the twins also work in the harbour at Brendam?
Cool as ice WildNorWester! Another great episode for STMY! I was hoping it would come soon!
Elsa. Are you know tat frozen 2 in 2015 in the Cinemas Come?
I don't know I herd 2016 L.L company 1 I know it's weird that as the star of frozen I'm not sure when the sequal is comming out.
Elsa schmange *sequel*
Elsa schmange *sequel*
Elsa schmange do you know there is a Disney special starring Elsa, Anna and Olof.
First! lol Glad to see my favorite Thomas youtube series is back! Ok I'm gonna watch now lol
Is it just me or does it sound weird calling Ms. Hatt “The Fat Controller”?
One tiny question.....why are there American cars flatbeds and American freight?
What makes you think American? Freightliner is a distinctively British goods for example.
Here's a question: How did Edward get/earn his branchline?
In the name of Victor tanzig
*THAT IS A STORY FOR ANOTHER DAY*
Not quite! Edward was given his branch line! And was later joined by Boco and Donald and Douglas. The original Fat Director gave him the branch line after having helped Gordon and Henry. In each sequence. Boco had a few problems with these two. And Edward did so, too.
not bad, not bad at all
If I am being honest I didn’t realise that Bill and Ben where female voices in this until I read the comments
One complaint, the guard whistles are WAY too loud.
I think my ears are bleeding...
Thanks for the feedback - I'll adjust this in future episodes.
***** Very good start to a new era on Sodor. Perhaps you could put the extra volume from the guards' whistles into the theme songs. I could barely hear Edward's when he pulled out of Knapford.

Fair enough :)
I thought it was daisy to begin with
do have any model trains. I have a model railroad at my farm house. I been doing it for 10 years
Hey Wildnorwester, brilliant start to the new series. Liked seeing the new models for the locomotives as well, gives a fresh appearance :)
I know this probably a spoiler question, but is there a chance of seeing Mavis when the China Clay Works opens up again?

Plus at the time he uploaded this video Timothy nor Marion was introduced to the Show
Hey that was amazing. One question will you be using any of the railway series characters in your stories
Late as usual to the party, I really liked the episode. Are you going to keep the "steamworks" idea mentioned in "Winds of Change" for the Gordon episode?
-edwardsstation
Yep, I'll be referring to it as the 'steamworks'.
Wait...is this new Controller supposed to be Sir Topham Hatt's granddaughter?
Which Sir Topham Hatt? In the Railway Series continuity, which this series follows, there have been three: Sir Topham Hatt, Sir Charles Topham Hatt and Sir Stephen Topham Hatt. Each being the son of the previous one. Emily is Sir Stephen's daughter, who took over from her father.
Have you seen 'Winds of Change'?
WildNorWester not yet.
The filming did start a while ago, yes. You'll see some of the later models showing up in the later episodes.
Okay. All the best to you during this process.
9:39, omg lol 😂
Amazing start Dude your stories are as close to Awdry originals as i have ever seen from a fan if you would be interested i have a future storyline idea you might be able to have fun playing around with
ether way cant wait to see more
WNW I have your rws models, and I was wondering if I could change the whistles to their proper kuid file?
Two things:
1) Yay your back!!!
2) When will Gordon be back in service?
1) Thanks :).
2) He'll return during one of the episodes in the first half of the season. I won't say any more than that :).
Cheers for that.
Also it is gonna take some time for me to get use to the engines new looks
***** Nice work on Sodor The Modern Years, WildNorWester. Keep up the good work on the rest of the episodes and your new RWS Models.
***** Question is Sir Charles Topham Hatt dead?
ryanbelcher25rb As Emily Helen Hatt stated on her Twitter feed, he's made a full recovery.
Can you go back to the old models they look more like the tv classics
No.
@@WildNorWester aaaaawwwwww but whatever i still like your channel
Did you make the model for Emily Hatt, or was it downloaded from somewhere?
I made her myself, and I won't be releasing her. I'd prefer to keep this model private.
***** OK. I understand. Since you prefer keeping Emily Hatt private in Trainz and that she will take Sir Topham Hatt's place as controller of the North Western Railway in your new Sodor The Modern Years, I will still have Sir Topham Hatt as Controller of the North Western Railway in my series.
i love it when will the next one be
Is it OK that if I can use the theme for the opening in STEY.
You'll need to ask Cudak888 - he's the UA-cam user who made that version of the theme in the first place.
i dont mean to be rude but why did you switch to the RWS styles
i have something to ask 1.what are the models your using called? and 2.what game is that?
The game is called Trainz, and the models are ones for it. Some I made myself, others I downloaded from sites like SI3D.
witch version? 2008 2009? 2010?
Originally 2010, now TANE.
tane?
matthew cain
Trainz A New Era - the latest version.
