hey paul i’m a geraldton local and last week i spent a week at the abrolhos islands with our friends who are crayfisherman , and i caught a 1.17kg blackspot goatfish on 4kg line in the shallows was a great little fight beautiful fish
Pity we had bad weather and a full moon for this trip, but was a great experience to show Paul our local waters and teach him a few things about light jigging.
Why would you fish 20 lb for dhufish man you will not land a trophy dhu like that unless you are fishing broken ground but it looks like you are fishing more serious ground there.

Also when I fish broken ground with 20 lb the 60-70cm fish still barely pull any drag you must have light drag there idk why.
