Vega, a character who captured my interest and curiosity the instant I first laid eyes on him at the Fun Factory in 1991. Still to this day my all time favorite fighter in the series
He's intrigued me since I was a child playing the earliest games. From a psychological standpoint, He's an interesting subject of study. Handsome, Narcissistic and lethal. Thanks for this video!
When I was a kid, I always called him "Vegaman". Also, Vega's line "Let my beauty intoxicate you", would be "Deja que mi belleza te embriague." in his native tongue.
He is a man you want to sympathize for and in some sick way admire his tenacity. But his narcissistic and psychotic tendencies really stop you from doing so.

RANDOM TRIVIA: In regards to Capcom fearing that Mike Tyson would sue them because of his likeness, he was in jail at the time the game was released. When VladTV interviewed him & told him about Capcom basing Balrog off of him & if he knew about it, Mike told him at the time No but after finding out about it, he said he wouldn't have mind them doing it
I agree with this. From what I read, the Original plan was the lead villain in red should be named Vega. The character on this video is called Balrog. Which is based on the monster story his mother told him as a kid. The boxer character should have been named M. Bison.
Not a character with a very deep play style (although he was tough to beat when the CPU was using him) but he looked so cool that I would always go back to him from time to time and try and make it work
He is such a complex character. He hates other male characters because he call them ugly. He hates beautiful women like Chun li and Cammy because they are beautiful. In short he hates beautiful and ugly.
Vega was my favourite Street Fighter 2 character and still my 2nd favourite character after Akuma. Also with Vega being a Spanish name I don’t get why he wasn’t called Vega in the Japanese version
Spanish surname. Vega in Spanish means meadow or fertile plain nearby a river, so it most commonly found as a compound surname as in "de Vega" or "de la Vega", which is the actual surname of el Zorro, Diego de la Vega, but you can find it alone too.

However I can't help but ask, in a video intended for one character, why was the entire plot of the 1994 street fighter animated film included? I mean yeah that's a great movie. I'm sure anyone whose watched it that's seeing this video probably liked it too but damn Vega died then I felt like my ADHD kicked in and as the story kept going and I thought maybe I changed the video or something o.o
I don't know who wrote this script your narrating.....the part where you say that, Chun li and Cammy were found attractive due to their power and attractiveness......seriously who wrote that line, 😂. Explaining someone's attractiveness by simply saying they are attractive had me do a double take!
Shadaloo values BAD MEN ... it's like one big Ozaru club, the shadow of a gorilla. Vega is unnatural and twisted because he is beautiful like a woman instead of handsome like a man. This is amusing to Bison, who is like Melkor or Morgoth from LOTR. He has a bodyguard called a Balrog. Vega is most similar to Juri, they are both sick narcissists who are extremely agile. Bison invites Vega into his inner circle because one he gets a sick Mithra assassin and two it is an unnatural display because God made Eve beautiful and not Adam. Other Ninjas in game are Guy (Fugazi Bushin) and... Ibuki.
