I definitely expect lego to release a type of custom piece (perhaps similar to the enderman) for the creaking. Definitely an unorthodox way to do it, but it's quite a unique mobs and as usual, your use of rare pieces and unique building strategies have worked together masterfully to create a very impressive interpretation of the creaking in lego!
I'm glad you like how it turned out! The new mobs are definitely getting trickier, as they tend to be a lot more detailed than the mobs of yesteryear. Gotta bring out the crazy techniques!

@CheeseyStudios no that was because of Minecraft Live's villager news But all Illagers however are terrified of the creaking including the illusioner and the ravanger so that could be in the world too

@@CheeseyStudios Bandai's gunpla funny enough does the exact same thing. There are kits that will include wires in them for posing or if the MS has a cable attachment. So in most cases they will give one REALLY long wire and in the guide have a 1:1 scale with a "cut here" for the correct length. Neat to see lego doing the same as it's been a bit since I've built lego and never really had kits in the past that required cable cutting.
I had to do the same thing with some flex tube for the railing on that empire strikes back 40th anniversary set with luke and vader. The flex tubes in that set were going for ridiculous prices so i just got a longer one from my own spare parts collection and chopped it down to the correct size from the set 😅
They really just gotta sell it to us in bulk reels honestly lol - it would be so useful! I bought a knockoff reel of black. 30 feet for $3 or something. First logical LEGO purchase I've ever made

If you don't want ro cut a flex tube you can use a 1x1x2/3 brick in dark bluish gray and a t-bar piece in light bluish gray or black if you don't mind the color difference. Maybe Lego will recolor that piece someday

Here are parts to substitute the flextube: -86996[Brick, Modified 1 x 1 x 2/3 with Open Stud] in dark bluish gray -4697b[Pneumatic T Piece Second Version (T Bar with Ball in Center)] in black or light bluish gray instead 86996 you could also use 2 1x1 round plates with a hollow stud
It would be harder to get the leaves on the side, but for the eyes you should use the small 1x1 orange tiles stacked with the gray ones. Like in your ores, where it’s alternating for one pattern
2:24 I much prefer to take 2 rounds tiles with holes with a T-shape bar than your technique, also thx to help me with my problem with my Herobrine eyes (I was using transparent sticking paper n regular paper 😅)
If anyone is too worried about the concept of cutting flex tubes, I do want to point out that you can also just by 3mm(I think?) flexible pneumatic tubes from Amazon or possibly just a hardware store. There would be a very real chance that they are even from the same manufacturer.
I imagine, since every lego minecraft mob has a custom piece (or occasionally a print) the creakikg will have a base comparable to an enderman, with attachment points for the arms.
just something silly, but I really like the usage of that antennae piece as a pointer, really good feeling. ..also, you could probably do a non-tube way of the legs by using the 1x1 stud with a hole in it and a t-bar. might look weird but it is an idea.

I think that for a replacement for the flex tube, you could replace the 1x1 and 1x1 clip with two rounded 1x1s with holes in them and then the pneumatic T-piece (T-bar) instead.
This looks great and exactly like in game design The 1 very minor critique I have is that one of its arms doesn’t really work But still amazingly well executed and it probably would be really difficult make both arms move the same
Glad you still like it! You could probably change up the bracket connection there for his left arm to make it work with just a 1x1 bracket rather than the 1x2. That would allow it to swing around!

I'm 1000% sure that in the event that we get the creaking, we also get a printed tile with it- LEGO Minecraft surprisingly never really uses stickers, only printed tiles- so in the (potentially near) future, you might be able to swap the face tiles with the printed one, like you did for your Warden.

Your Sniffer having more deta, but their Sniffer having the ultimate fidget/stimming devise XD So a sort of combination/middle ground of the 2 I think works best. Might be what ends up happening here too, although still, the fact that you managed such detail on such a small build is amazing, and no doubt Lego would probably go for the moulded idea to get said detail

Not sure if there's a space it'd fit, but it'd be cool if one of the edges had a few pieces of pale moss with this guy stalking someone, to suggest a biome out of the edges of the build. Amazing design for him either way though, the flex bar is a great idea!
I used the Flex tubes when I built the Seattle Space Needle set with my dad and yeah… cutting them was the weirdest part. We ended up with the spare somewhere .5 inch getting chewed on lol

I did try that! It's a better purist way to do it for sure, but I do like the offset you get from eye to eye by using stickers

For more stability, instead for using the flex tube on a clip you could've used a 1x1 hole stud and a pneumatic T-bar.

It's a really hard mob to do, to be fair! It's so small, yet so detailed. I definitely had my struggles while coming up with this final design!

The best solution I believe is putting the head and wings on a baby zombie body! That's what I've been using for my custom world at least :)

Any tips for making a fox that doesn't look atrocious? Until Lego gets their act together and makes a proper fox mold, I don't like it.
Could t you just use a t bar pneumatic piece and a 1x1x2/3 brick with a hole in the top?
That's definitely a cheaper solution! As long as you're okay with the color mis-match, that's a good way to do it too.
