I listened to the lyrics. Cliche followed by cliche followed by cliche etc. I'm not criticising Pat Byrne here as I do think he has talent. He came out showing his love fro great artists like Bruce Springsteen and now he's suddenly singing this middle of the road, safe bullshit.
This is too poppy.... His has an incredible voice, he shouldn't try to fall into the mainstream music, he's better than that. I love his voice when he sung songs such as The River, and his new cover of Raglan Road is one of the best covers of such a classic song. But this just doesn't interest me.... Sorry Pat.
Hmmm..... it ain't gonna win any grammies, but I guess it's just trying to be as Irish as possible..... I'm a bit disappointed. Playing it very safe, and it's not a great song. Lovely voice, but they didn't spend much on the song.
