Tanvi answered Modi question very well. India needs to hedge its bets. Modi needs to borrow a leaf from Nehru's non alignment policy. India should not get into any conflict with anyone. India needs to focus on bringing out as many Indians as possible out of poverty & destitution. That is what will be Modi's focus if he gets elected for a 3rd term. India should trade with everyone.

Non alignment is dead , it has no place in today's world.

      Lehru's non-alignment policy!
      My Foot.
Lehru was not even Aligned with interests of Bharat.
Lehru's fundamental understanding of Bharat itself was againsts the majority in Bharat.
Lehru never saw the majority in Bharat as rightful owner of this country.
Which is why his policies starting with an unjust partition was always against the Pagan Mushriqs of this country.

Don't worry, Modi implements both his policies and Congress's Policies.. CAA, Aadhar, Russian Alliance are all Congress Era Policies. This tells us, Modi Govt not driven by Party Arrogance or Identity Politics but Policy Politics.

@adolft_official , would you mind explaining what equal rights were not given? I think you are confused with what Pakiatan did with Bangladesh after elections and didn't allow a Bangladeshi to rule erstwhile Pakistan. Isint it?

US keeps flip flopping on support to India.... how can such a large country not have a coherent mind ? It prefers autocracies over democracies :(

They call it strategic ambiguity, some call it Schizophrenic, or devious

India was never an ally of the USA or the West since its independence. If anything, the USA always was against India until the 2000s. FYI, India got sanctioned in the 90s because of nuclear tests. Don't think India will ally with the West militarily any time in the future. We don't ally with the West and we don't need the West. We are always aligned with Russia p and it stays the same for a long, long, long time.

Soviet Union was not an existential threat to India. China is. India and China can NEVER be on the same side unless one agrees to become the other’s little puppet. India/US strategic partnership is inevitable.

Yes sadly, India agrees to become a US lapdog against China.

India is no one's partner. It is still a puppet of the West.
When there were two blocs namely, USER and the US, China had played a neutral role. But, during Ukraine war, india took side with Russia and now they are supporting Israel attack on Palestinian people on Gaza.
Be careful India, the world , especially the West is watching you very carefully.

Nuclear cooperation between India and Russia is crucial. Today, the installed capacity of nuclear in India is around 7.3 GW - or about 3% of electricity generation - and that will double by 2030 to about 15 GW while still remaining at 3% of total energy produced.

    Some thoughts:
    1. The strengthening of India, whether as ally or partner or as a cat-on-the-wall is in US interest. US should help India in very which way. It helps lock up more Chinese forces in its Western front
    2. India buying US equipment and setting up MROs for maintenance and repair and maybe even production will create a forward base of the US in the Indian Ocean and South of South China Sea which would be a big asset in a conflict with China.
    3. Navy is one sector where the most progress has been made. The P8I have of US, Australia and India has the Chinese subs totally tracked in the Indian Ocean.
    4. India’s growing ties with Saudi and UAE help US efforts from drifting to the China camp.
    5. Another reason India’s maintaining ties with Russia is to keep its links with Central Asia and preventing China from
having a free run there. Same goes with BRICS and SCO.
    6. Biggest population country, Fifth latest economy (soon to be third), Nuclear powered country and kept out of UNSC and G7, and the West asks why India joins the BRICS and SCO.
    7. With Canada’s shoddy investigation of Kanishka bombing and free operation of anti-India forces, Carter admin’s silence (maybe tacit approval) when Pakistan acquired nuclear and many other issue, has created a great distrust of US in India, public and government . To expect India to capitulate overnight is being naive.

Very well presented. Kudos to Tanvi. I’d have also liked a little additional insight into the response to the question about state of Muslims in India. Please review the findings of Pew Research on religious freedom in India and even compare the record of the US on this topic.

    Time waste 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣.
First of all ask her where did she get her education from? Because as i know Indian education system is obsolete unless it is integrated with western education system.🤣🤣

You know too little, that too with a prejudice mind. You can Google her education, or that of any indian americans. Almost all graduated in india, went abroad with qualification n merit they got in india. And for all what worth, they(including her) are in prominent places, and you are in comment section. Have you ever listened to prominent indian America CEOs interviews? What they have said about their education in india? No. So, opinions are not truth, it's your prejudiced corrupted perception in you head, amplified by echo chamber you live in.
Such a time waste in replying to a dumb.😂😂😂😂
