I've always thought just randomly building a complete crap-ton of lings is underplayed. In some cases they will just get roasted, so you have to know your spots. If you bank up some larva and have like 60 lings out and build 20 more sets, overall that's not a huge cost and you are sending 100 units. Lings have a very high damage and HP per mineral cost. Their weakness is that many die before they get in range. So if you have that excess, the back half of the wave is going to make good connections.
yeah, marines where out of position, tanks alone, maxed out on lings and banes just roll on in and rips them apart. Tanks really need that wall of marines to body block and help with dps in-between each shot.
ravens are an S tier unit that terrans just aren't good enough to use while ghosts are out. That's why it's unpopular. There is no match in which stimmed bio doesn't pair well with AA missile. Also stacks epic with BC, and they even beat corruptors if AA missile is in play.

I think small ultras was a mistake buff. Also it sacrifices splash damage so it's only a partial buff anyway. I think they should have just been more damaging to buildings, which I think they used to. An ultra costs more than any building. Also can walk over lings and banes and protect them from damage like aberations do. Or just be cheaper. They are ridiculously expensive for how easy they are to counter. The only reason they ever get any use at all is because terrans are usually on a marine-only challenge.
"Ultras are so expensive" - I haven't played this game for quite a while and can't remember, just checked it. 275/200... And so easy to counter... Looking at protoss, immortal 275/100, can be killed by a few zerglings. Not mentioning the oracle that dies to a single widow mine, -150/150 in the early game.

Against terran they're meh because terran has this unit called the "Ghost" which hard counters; lings, roaches,hydras, lurkers, ravagers, ultras, broods,swarmhosts, mutas. It also counters vipers& infestors. This means the terrans just make it. And ultras arent very good when they just... die. The new patch did make them 25minerals cheaper(basically irrelevant but ok buff i guess) and made snipe do 35 damage less to non psionic(nice nerf but, it basically only changes 3 interactions, Zealots live with 15 hp, roaches live with 5 hp(ravagers still get 1 shot) lurkers still take 2 shots and broodies still take 3shots. Only the ULRTRALISK takes 1 entire more shot to kill, from 3 to 4.). Also the reason terrans make mostly marines is simple: marine>marauder against lings. Zerg makes hundreds of lings. btw the size change is good as it makes the unit just FEEL better to control and way less derpy. Large units in sc2 tend to stumble over eachother a massive amount.
Omg wtf what was the ending of the final match lol. The fight going into that win had like 5 upgrades finishing within 15 seconds for the opponent. What a timing
He had an insane run at the world finals, was on really great form all day. He beat Maru 4:1 in the finals, and beat Reynor and Hero earlier on. Not sure what happened to Rogue that day
Well you are better if that makes you feel better. I used to BC rush in unranked games because I have no skill whatsoever. I usually won. Now I do mech toss against AI. At least I can beat elite. I'm not sure what league elite AI would be in. Goldish?
@@paulhorbenko9560I think it would go higher than gold actually but you could be right. I really don't know. This is for macro games, you can easily beat AIs with the right rushes.
Dark's play is highly variable. I think it's because he mixes it up so much. He's like the opposite of serral. Dark has more overall micro skill but is more prone to mistakes. (not in a big way, just enough to lose some games here and there).

You're forgetting the larva cost. That could've been 20 of any other kind of unit

Last time I saw lategame BC's, they were literally the sole reason the terran lost (gumiho).

Lings should be buffed. New upgrade "Wings of Lings", giving them the ability to also fly.
