Thank you for making these videos! I have learned a lot watching them last year. There isn't much content for us northern gardeners for sure. I appreciate you! Have a fantastic spring 🌱
What amazes me about Cool Flowers is how they just sit there in the cold for the longest time (growing roots I guess) and when it finally warms up, they just explode with growth! Cowansville, Qc zone 5
I have loved 🥰 following you for the past two years. I live in zone 3-4 in Alaska. You have been an inspiration and I too push the envelope! Good to hear your getting your strength, voice and energy back! Producing a human is a hugh accomplishment and takes all your energy. Keep testing the conventional ways and keep sharing. 😊
I love your channel. Do you think you could go through how you arrange the trays in your green house, what goes out when, if you use heat, what covers you use, when you know to use them in your green house. I just love how you explain things. Thank you! 🌼
Possible Video idea for those with limited space to start seeds : Which of your cool flower seedlings transplant readily and which don’t? I learned the hard way this year after potting up snapdragons seeded in a tray - it set them back 3-4 weeks and many did not survive. Whereas the Scabiosa didn’t seem to care at all. Glad you are feeling better, lovely Mom ❤
I think you're the ONLY zone 3 gardening channel! I LOVE your website. You give fantastic information and hope to my flower gardening endeavors. Thank you! I would really love to watch videos on how to start flowers indoors.
I really enjoyed the book Gardening Under Cover, if you have not read it yet. You obviously are doing all sorts of techniques, but maybe there would be another gem that might help in the book.
Congratulations on 20k, Kristen. I’m happy for you. Sorry to hear you’re still not feeling well. May you regain your strength soon. Have missed your videos, but with 3 little ones I totally understand. Blessings. 🥰🦋🕊🌹
@@ShiftingRoots I’m glad you honoured yourself and took the time you needed to get better. I admire you sharing your heart and struggle with postpartum. You may help others who are experiencing the same issues 🇨🇦
Oh my God, love your style of vlogging, so little content creator in Canada with this kind of quality. So excited that my algorithm finally pop you up on my suggestion can’t wait to see your journey! ❤ Also zone 5 from Quebec, forecast says snow for next week and I kinda want to cry a little about it since I thought my onions were finally going in the ground 😢
I love seeing this! I have a small flower Farm in BC zone 5ish. I have been experimenting the past two years with how far a can push seedlings in the cold. I have an un heated greenhouse and have put out almost all my seedlings. Only holding back zinnias, celosia eucalyptus the very sensitive guys. I do have a small space heater for the very cold nights but otherwise there have been many days and nights it's just staying around 0° inside. And everything is doing amazing! Growing slowly but stocky and healthy. I am actually debating planting dahlia tubers in the high tunnel next week. Our last frost date is may long weekend but I watched everything closely last year with first frost and I agree with you the plants are way tougher than we give them credit for! Hope you have an amazing growing season!! Love your videos!
Hi Kristen! I love watching your videos. It's great to relate to another cold-weather grower! I like Lisa Mason Ziglar too, but I totally agree that the info isn't quite on par for our climates up here in the north country. I'm glad you are putting this information out there. It is a lot of trial and error! At this point, my ranunculus and anemones have been in the ground since the beginning of March and now they look excellent! Much better than prior years when I started in April (but it has been an abnormal spring, as well). Great job getting this information out!
Hi Kristen! Love your videos! I would love to see how you handle the flowers that notoriously flop when they are cut! How do you condition them so they look fresh and happy for weddings or bouquets?
Glad you are feeling better. I've missed your videos. Love your garden ideas and love your wedding videos.
There will be lots of wedding videos this year!
It's wonderful wow❤
Thank you for making these videos! I have learned a lot watching them last year. There isn't much content for us northern gardeners for sure. I appreciate you! Have a fantastic spring 🌱
You too!
I'm in zone 2b and I'm fixing a stiff drink :)

Another 'Small Potato', here. ;) Looking forward to more of your content this year.

Sure! I can make a video like that next week.

Great to see you are back and feeling better. I learn so much from your videos. Being a momma is a tough job and you are doing so well!
You mentioned that you would update your book in fall. When will your updated book be available? Should I hold off getting your hard copy book?
Congratulations on 20k, Kristen. I’m happy for you. Sorry to hear you’re still not feeling well. May you regain your strength soon. Have missed your videos, but with 3 little ones I totally understand. Blessings. 🥰🦋🕊🌹

Aww, thank you!
Glad to see you coming back, and yes, I can still hear it in your voice. ❤
Look forward to seeing the flowers and videos. Glad you are feeling better. I hope to put some of mine out in the cold frame next week.
So nice to see a longer video from you !
I’m so glad you’re feeling better ! I’m sure the sun and some greenery will do you wonders 🇨🇦🌸
It really does. Once I started having some seed starts, seeing that green everyday really helped.
@@ShiftingRoots I’m glad you honoured yourself and took the time you needed to get better.

Onions are tough, you should plant them!

I’m so interested to hear about your results!
I love your videos ! Looking forward to garden tours :)
Me too!!
👍🏻
My goal is to get broccoli outside soon. I’ve been hardening them off slowly, but of course we also got snow in Mb.
Save seeds from your plants that you grow to get them to be even more cold tolerant over time. ;-)
That’s a great idea!

Oh that’s a good one! I have a few tricks.
