At the end of the day Omega lived up to its reputation as the strongest being. He was so strong it gave real life PTSD to people and made some quit the game
TOP, the fight that made me retire from raiding after clearing, on top of quitting the game for an unknown amount of time. Maybe I will return for the next expansion, but holy that fight was the most miserable experience of my life. Did not help I was getting burnt out from raiding since DSR but I think it would have ended this way no matter what.
top is 100% harder, for artificial reasons, you can snooze/not pay attention in the first phase in dsr and in eyes phase, there's seriously no points in the fight where you can snooze in TOP, plus p5 mechanics are just harder than anything in dsr.@@Cascada200
Agree on all these; I’ve been helping many top groups prog and clear and I think Hello World is the most contentious mechanic; people either really like it or hate it. I love it because it’s not that hard but there is actually actually a lot of mechanics resolving so it’s flashy and cool, but if you’re looking for a challenge that’s not just a walking target dummy, it’s pretty boring.
I might just suffer from stockhold syndrome, but in the end I actually really enjoyed TOP. Phase 1 can go fuck itself but every other phase is either an A or S tier for me (although the bugs did make me quite annoyed). Phase 2 is fun, transition is really cool, Phase 3 is a bit of a break for the brain while still needing a bit of focus, Phase 4 I love just because I think it's cool that Omega doesn't get why we are so powerful so it starts going haywire and just tries to kill us until it bluescreens, Phase 5 is really cool and absolutely doable without plogon (for Omega trio our OT marked monitor people and I marked first far world baits), and Phase 6 is the most shakies causing thing I've experienced in this game. If they had properly playtested the fight, it would have been even better and saved Xeems a lot of ranting.
I genuinely don't understand all the hate for Loop and Pantokrator. Is there are an argument for what makes those mechs bad apart from "I and/or my group is bad and inconsistent at it so we wiped there a lot"? Casters randomly do get fucked on uptime, which is annoying but something you can adjust for to some degree and doesn't make the entire mech terrible. And the dps check of the entire phase is kind of stupid because you can occasionally get fucked by damage variance and proc rng, the phase is too short for how strict the check is. Some people are going to say that tethers are jank, but in my experience they really aren't, idk if I just have some god ping situation. They're wonky if you run straight through them without stopping. If you walk on top of the tether and STAND STILL for a second or two, it passes 100% of the time. Personally I find this to be the best p1 of any Ultimate, because it actually still requires you to use your brain every time, even when you're progging later phases, hell even when you've cleared. Every single other p1 you just fall asleep for the first 2 minutes when you've progged past it. Living Liquid is the only other one even close because that's at least fun to prog, but once you've learned LL, it's just the same exact movement every time. Everyone's entitled to their opinion and I'm not going to say you're an idiot for hating the phase. I just really don't understand. Both Loop and Panto are borderline S-tier mechs for me.
I think the fight lives and dies on whether or not you enjoy P1. As someone that thinks P1 is the best ultimate P1 of all time, I'm really enjoying progging the fight. It's just annoying when your group starts to make silly mistakes near the end of raid night when people's brains are fried. But that's all, and not really a good argument.
Panto and Loop were probably just reviled in hindsight because it's by far the mech that gets the most reps by virtue of being in P1. Even if I liked it in the beginning, 1 month in and wishing I could just prog sigma or exasquares, Panto/Loop just become tedious.
I progged on melee and also really enjoyed panto honestly. You still have to consider uptime but it's not as free as pranged or as painful as caster. I also don't get the hate for loop honestly. As a caster sure but it's such an innocuous and simple mechanic that I think people just hate it for the fact that it requires a bit of thinking up front after a wipe
Oh, and yeah, tethers are entirely fine. The mechanics that have required tethers do not execute so fast that having the diligence to stay still until it has passed will mitigate any ping/reaction issues. It could function better but it's nowhere near as bad as people say it is
Im really not sure why he dogged on Run Delta for the 3rd party tools thing as thats the one of the three trios you dont benefit at all from it for lol. Even Sigma can be easily handled with a simple conga and a single mark/callout. The real issue imo is Run Omega as you get way less time to habdle it with a conga and marking players during the initial uptime dodges is very taxing and neigh impossible for PF to handle without AM. Also P1 is great and people are just salty their parties are bad at those mechanics
This fight is pretty awful in general but not because of the difficulty! Because they ignored the arena style gauntlet we were given in og raids. They completely got rid of everything that made omega raids actually enjoyable and only gave us omega. Ucob had nael and twin, uwu had all the primals from the msq (which is still quite fun), tea did the same thing to an extend but they had the amazing music that carried it in the og series (i missed the goblins personally), dsr was just perfection incarnate.. that fight was an emotional ride and i loved every moment of besides my shit ass team lmao! Top is soulless just like the entirety of shitwalker
as someone just starting to get into ults (only uwu so far) i've already told my group i have less than zero interest in doing TOP. We're doing TEA now, and UCOB down the line, but I will die in hell before I do TOP. Just watching other people prog looks like the most unfun shit ever
As someone who negatively overreacted to it during prog when it came out, it's not that bad of a fight. It feels really good to do it right. However, if you're feeling any burnout from the game this fight will speed it up tenfold.
At the end of the day Omega lived up to its reputation as the strongest being. He was so strong it gave real life PTSD to people and made some quit the game
some not only quit but completely hate the game to their bone
When are we getting a tier list for your hair?
B for Bald only grade for that hair xffing

How would you compare TOP and DSR? Some say DSR was more difficult, but some say TOP was

skill issue
@@Cascada200im at omega or P6 in top and i have cleared DSR. TOP is way more difficult. DSR is a 7 or 8/10 and TOP is a 10/10 in difficulty.
Doing panto as a non summoner caster is just... 💀
As a caster* summoner is a physical ranged Lol.
Holy LOOP Looking
