Yeah In melee at a certain point you could jump out of meteors, but it depends on how strong it is and what percent you are when you are hit.
Gothem Cloud no every meteor except falco and Martha was able to be canceled.
A Luigi taunt spike is the equivalent of getting a 99 yard fumble recovery gaming-winning touchdown.

It's strange they don't count Luigi's taunts as moves. I've done this before, and dodged attacks simply by falling down, so they are definitely moves.
I can only ever hit the Luigi Taunt-KO in mega-smash on the edge.
