Lord OMG! This music director is the master arranger and his vocal ability is BEYOND and please don't stop bringingvthe masses the gift of music! Kim Burrell is exceptionally gifted without question. I grew up in the San Francisco/Oakland Northern California Bay Area and had the privilege of being showered with The Hawkins Family, Dr. Edwin Hawkins, Rev. Walter Hawkins, Psalmist Tremaine Hawkins, Psalmist Lynette Hawkins, Love Center! Just absolutely AWEMAZING Tribute!!!
These songs by the Hawkins are timeless and I use to lead them at my church and I love hearing different ways to sing the same! It’s called fresh and new and changing with new eyes in the Lord! God made sex pleasurable, so why can’t we make song pleasurable fun, fun, fresh fresh, new new crisp, crisp, clear, clear fascinating awesome those are all beautiful words and beautiful sayings beautiful nouns, so let them be beautiful and let the dead bury the dead dead

I love Kim Burrell's style of singing. It's very unique to gospel because it's more of a jazzy style. A lot may not accept it but I understand it. I love a lot of different genres and I understand that we can praise God with different vocal inflections. Sang Kim!!

Is it just me but this dude here seems to always garnish the spot light especially in the presence of Pastor Burrell. It takes away from her gift & he is always " doing the most " just let Kim sang ...period. Less is best with the music & vocal key. Distracting to say the least. Im not sure why Kim continues to partner with him 🤔...peace out

@reneegibson2911 I guess that it's all about perspective. I stand on my take on Mr.Bowman. I have seen some of his tributes along with Maranda Curtis. I still feel that Mr. Bowman is more of a " showman". What sense does it make to " feature " anybody & you are constantly adlibbing .Take a lesson or two from Donald Lawrence, when he has a feature artist or even a choir member. Donald just stands there and directs the choir. Sometimes once the song is winding down Donald may lead some then but the majority of the featured artist is " featured" . Those outfits were horrendous, the musical arrangement & light show was IMO over the top. God & Gospel music doesn't need all of that. It's distracting & IMO takes away from the message. I'm probably coming off like that old mother or deacon in the church but I'm standing on my conviction. I appreciate your reply and continue to enjoy Mr. Bowman, I'll pass on the theatrics & let the Glory of the Lord minister to me through the minstrel standing there flat footed with there eyes on the prize & God being lifted up through song. May God's Love and Favor Rest Rule and Abide with you for the Rest of your days...✌🏾💜
The weird thing is...he brings his friends together.....they seem to love him. If ya don't like just say it. There's no reason to not like him for doing his job and producing his productions. There are a lot of channels you can visit. I will be glad when we are convened in heaven where opinions won't be like butt holes.
You must not know Kim Burrell well, she loves collaborations and for artist to join in full confidence, which Tim does. It’s a masterpiece

I don't like it. Sounds too commercialized as if it was produced for a Disney movie or something. Nothing about it draws me into a spirit of worship.

The musicians are clearly professionals and masters at their craft. But this arrangement doesn't sound like gospel music to me. Sometimes less is more. That's just my personal opinion.
They lost me at the arrangement for Be grateful, using the musical introduction from 80s pop hit song Take on Me, yep sounded nothing like gospel!
