ZOOM H6 FIELD RECORDER REVIEW | THE BEST FIELD RECORDER

- The Zoom H6 recorder has been one of my favorite and best purchases ever for my company, but is it the best recorder out there? As a run and gun production we can't ever short change the importance of good audio on set, and with 6 tracks you can record on, the Zoom H6 takes care of all of our sound needs.
In this video I show some NOT ALL of the features I like about the field recorder, how to set up a lavalier or lapel mic, and how to swap out the different mics ZOOM provides.
Comment below if you love or hate this recorder, and why.
Here is a link to buy the H6 if you're interested

Nice review!! Thanks!!
Thank you for the video. It was really helpful. I do have a question... I just bought this aswell and love it. Unfortunately i got the all black stripped down variant. But anyways, what do you set your gain to when recording in field? Can you give few examples for something like Night, Rain, Day. I feel like if i set my gain to 7 , I get noise. but if I go lower, the recorded volume is too little. May be I am just confusing the ambient sound with noise?
thats an interesting issue, Im usually right around 6.5 but maybe raise the volume of the device so you can properly hear what's coming out versus raising the gain
Cool I used tascam
How is the sound
I also love the tascam
