Hard to find but this is a fabulous movie starring a very gifted ,captivating actor that sadly died in his prime. What a story line. All parts well cast making this a most "believable" story line.
No argument there Peter! This is one of my all time favorite movies and the performances by Stephen Boyd and Gloria Grahame are superb! I particularly like when Boyd confronts Grahame and tries to establish if she really was "Major Martin's" girlfriend.....certainly these two steal the movie away from Clifton Webb (Superb actor that he is!) and Robert Flemyng! Cheers, Doons
Not the best way to start a spy operation, barking away politely at the hard-of-hearing staff trying to get yourself heard-- the comedy in this scene is wonderful!
Stephen Boyd turns in a really memorable performance in this gem of a movie.
I love this scene. Almost nobody knows about this movie. Their loss.
This film is infinitely better than the glitzy 2021 one!

It is a true story
This is one of my absolute favorite movies! I also love Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison from this era!
What a great actor. The way he appears to have little patience with the man.

@@doonsbury9656 Yes.There is a kind of menacing in his eyes and impatience with the old chap.

Messala at a Military Club???
You've come back a spy. When I heard the news I drank a toast to you!

Boyd stole that movie
What a boring scene. Boyd's fake accent is terrible.
Boyd was an Irishman. His widely used fake American accent was excellent.
