I haven't had luck with shoes frim Vietnam. I have recent pairs from Fugashin and KMPT and both are too small in terms of fit even though both brands told me the shoes run true to size. Craftsmanship on both is great especially considering pirce. But free shoes are worthless if they hurt your feet. I have Yearn's as well and the first order from them, also true to my regular size were too small. I have to get them made in a wide and a 1/2 size up from my standard. Yearn shoes are on an a different level and the cost reflects that. Still, $600 for handwelted, hand stiched shoes with lasted shoe trees, topy and toe plate delivered to your door about 30 days after ordering is amazing.
If the espresso hatch grain is polished with burgundy cream polish, do you think it would add depth to the color? Or is it just too dark brown?
It’s a good question. I’ll have to try. You can get a LOT of depth with creams and you can get some just by layering wax polish.
This kind if shoes is often called split toe derby. I wonder whether the name should actually be split toe blucher instead of split toe derby.
Great video by the way. I also love the hatched grain leather.
All bluchers are derbies but bot all derbies are bluchers. So split toe derby is still right. The key is if the facing is attached to the heel with a separate piece of leather.
Is the maintenance/care of hatch grain leather any different?
No. Pretty much the same.
Do you have any Indonesian shoes?
I have a pair on the way. Vahtia.
@@wishoeguy Great, Im waiting for a review on that.
