I only have a personal interpretation, but it reminds me of a failing relationship between 2 traumatized people? Specifically cause of lines like “We were wrecks before we crashed into each other”, “What if it will always be this way?” And “good stories are bad lives” Like they should be happy because they’re in the same boat but they’re still both broken, they’re not comforted by anything the other person says because they’re insecure of themselves, and the last part with the repeating phrase, I think it’s because they’re the only ones who understand each other, but don’t know how to fix themselves in order to make it work
the album is basically about being a teenager falling in love, thats the general consensus of twin fantasy even though a lot of songs have a lot of other underlying tones
