Thanks for this! It is great to be able to get a bit of translation, so one can come to know what the song is about - one day I will try to get a book or brochure that gives the whole song in English...and all the others in the Zuerzela repertoire -"En Un Pais de Fabula", "La Petenera", "Malata Infeliz Tu Vida Acabo" and "Todas das Mananitas"- all from the Salzburg, 2007, concert, and posted on this site....I listen and listen to them - every day, several times a day - I can't get enough!!!
Ana María Martínez soprano, ¿con qué orquesta?, ¿dónde?, ¿cuándo?, ¿quién dirige? falta esa informacion. Buena version, algunas cosas extrañas, pero bastante bien en general
Very good performance!! Brava!!This Zarzuela aria is my favourite! I search for the music score for piano and mezzo-soprano but here in Greece I don't found! there is anyone to send me? Thank you very much!
I love the Zarzuela repertoire, now I've discovered it....but could you tell me what this song means in English?!! I would much appreciate a translation!! Thanks!
Do you know if it is possible to get a brochure, such as the one I mention here.....with all the English translations....and where I could write away to, requesting one?
@xeromaldito Ms Garanca sings very well, but her interpretation is too "operatic" Ms Martinez's interpretation is far superior. It is much more authentic and conveys the zarzuela spirit much better.
"¿con qué orquesta?, ¿dónde?, ¿cuándo?, ¿quién dirige? falta esa informacion." Totally agree. Another lazy presenter who doesn't want to take the trouble of presenting his posting in a professional manner. Another amateur who does not give any consideration to his audience.
The best ever I think, it comes out so naturally
Ole! Que salero! Muy bonita voz. Brava!

This song is talking about the young man she is in love with. She comments on how she feels when she sees him, and how he assures her of his love.
