It could be posible that the missing demon king ended up in the human realm somehow and couldn't find his way back so he started a family after falling in love. And Iruma is his descendant, but since his demonic bloodline got diluted too much over the centuries, he is practically a human with a powerful ancestor, but no demonic abilities on his own. But that's just a theory. A fan theory!
I feel that someone in his family made a deal with Drekilas a few hundred years ago and part of the deal was half of him went to iruma and the other half went to the ring of gluttony. Like iruma got part of his personality and powers and the ring got the rest which is why they're partners who can't survive without each other
