How do you get the watercolor effect in some of your illustrations so that it doesn't ruin the other side of the page?

You can always paint the watercolor illustration on a separate page and then glue/tape it to your bujo. I know that Archer & Olive has dot grid notepads that are 160 GSM, if you would like to do it that way.
