Happy New Year everyone. Amazon did this with the pricing not long ago. They jacked it up for several days but then it dropped back down. It also goes the other way which is how I got my 1805. In October, I had been reading reviews and deciding between the Echelon Sport and the Sunny 1805 when I noticed the price had dropped about a $100 on the 1805 on a Monday. It kept dropping until Friday it was down to $465 and I bought it. It went back up to $599 by that Sunday. So watch it closely. I love the 1805. Great job with these videos, I don't get tired of watching them.

Really helpful! I had no idea the felt, leather, and magnet placements would make such a big differences. Just cancelled my existing order and bought the B1002 from your Amazon link. Pairing it with my Garmin Vector 3 power meter, it should make a very nice exercise bike 👍😁
I'm really glad I bought the 1805 yesterday... :D I saw the price AFTER new years hit and it dropped my jaw. And as others have stated the 1002 has dropped in price about 20-30 bucks.
Your videos have been so helpful to me. I think I’m choosing the SB1002 because it’s pretty much what I’m looking for. The only thing you didn’t mention is about short riders. I’m 5,3” and was worried after watching another review that mentioned the bike may be too tall for short riders. However, I just read an Amazon review from a rider who is 5’2”, and she mentioned she was worried of the height, but she loves it and is able to reach the pedals comfortably so I’m going for it. I think I can help a bit with the max weight aspect of the sunny versus the other one-I believe these manufacturer's specify the weight of someone sitting AND standing. So, even if the Sunny is beefier, the pedal cages can actually comes undone over a certain weight if they are in position 2 or 3.
Thank you for posting all of these great videos. As an upcoming first-time spin bike buyer they are most helpful. Have you had a chance to play with the Sunny SF-B1877? It has a 29# flywheel, HR monitor, magnetic resistance, and a performance monitor. Yet, it is cheaper than the SF-B1002.
I Really want to buy either one of these but my main concern are all of the negative reviews on both of the bikes on amazon. Alot of them show terrible welds that have broken or a number of other faulty parts that have completely broken in a matter of months after using them. I completely understand im not buying a 2 thousand dollar stationary bike that would most likely last much longer. But I still dont know if I am willing to gamble 400 to 600 dollars for something that potentially wont even get me through a year.

Just curious if you could not use a SPEED output to correspond to the ever 'critical' cadence you always mention. RPM to Speed should be a simple calculation I would think.

Great comparison video. No doubt the magnetic resistance is by far the best. I was thinking, while watching you crank the resistance on the B1002, that perhaps with the pressure being forced down on the flywheel, it could add wear to the wheel bearings. I may be wrong, but just wondering. On the magnetic type resistance, there is no downward pressure placed on the wheel, therefore no pressure placed on any bearings. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't the 1805 around the $600 price point? Now it's selling on Amazon for $769.98. Are they taking advantage of people being home more due to the Pandemic? By the way, how does the 1805 stack up against the Joroto? I read many of the reviews on the Joroto, and they are very positive, especially with customer service.
Have you seen the Sunny 1877? It's $325, magnetic but flywheel is 29 lbs...would that be a no-go? This would be my first spin bike. Trying to decide which would be the best on a budget for a newbie to spin!? TYIA

@@christinepowers3350 There's also a difference with the Schwinn pricing going up. At least what I've seen. Those prices are set by the third parties you are buying it from not sold by Amazon. Which of the time I checked are not available directly from Amazon warehouse which would mean they price them whatever and that's not Schwinn's fault. But the Sunny bike is sold by Amazon which means Sunny sets the pricing and they raised the prices. So a big difference between the 2 cases. Not sticking up for Schwinn because I don't own any of them

The written instructions were great- we didn't need to watch the videos, but it was good knowing that the option was there if we needed it. After we were able to get it set up, the boys each rode 3 miles and I rode 8 and the bike stayed quiet. The display is easy to reset, and you can put it on whichever setting you are using (time, distance, calories, etc). I will say that my butt is a little sore from the seat, but that could be because I haven't rode in a while. While it is comfortable for me, it was not comfortable with the seat position for my friend (could not move the seat back far enough and he slightly looked like a kid riding a tricycle that he had outgrown). He also said that the seat hurt his manly parts. We are going to look for a different seat that will be compatible with this bike for him.I did purchase the Wahoo Cadence sensor and strapped it to the crank of one of the pedals. This will sync with my Apple Watch, iPhone and will import data in to my Health app. Wahoo does have other sensors available other than cadence. I can also keep either my phone or my iPad on the display and they both feel pretty secure.

Yep bummed that the price of the 1805 increased by $170 to $769 but the 1002 price decreased to $334.99 on Amazon. You mentioned with the B1002 there’s maintenance with the leather resistance, what kind of maintenance is there? Thanks again for the videos! Still decided on which bike I want to buy and your videos are my go to for comparing bikes. I’m thinking about the Schwinn IC3 & IC4; Echelon Connect, and one of the Sunny bikes. I really like the B1002 for the price. The B1805 was a big contender but with the price increase I started comparing the Sunny Endurance and the Synergy and Synergy Pro. I'm torn between Joroto x2 and b1002. I'm new to spin bike so not sure if I should spend the $600 for the 1805. Joroto x2 is $440 and the B1002 is $386 on Amazon. The B1002 seems more solid but the x2 seems more smooth? I'm 5 ft 7 and 210lbs btw.

Good reviews however you really need to mention the Q-factor size for the bikes. I have the SF-B1002, and while it is nice and sturdy, it has a massive Q-factor (215 mm I believe) which is way more than a regular road or mountain bike.

If you are thinking of purchasing a bike from them I suggest getting it from their website they have a really awesome warranty and if you purchase through amazon it's only a year instead of 3 years
Happy New Year! It’s Mr. Wilson...got a new phone and have no clue what my UA-cam password was and had to create a new channel.(I know you care). Is the resistance knob on the 1805 smooth, or are there a couple of “jerky” spots where it seems like it gets hung up. My 1879 starts smooth, then about 4 turns in it feels like it’s cross threaded or something, then smooth again. Not a major complaint..just an annoyance. One thing I would love nine makers to incorporate is a dropper post like on mountain bikes. I’ve had a few times where I almost impaled myself when I was out of the saddle and really working. Dropping the seat all the way would make me feel a lot more comfortable.
Interesting idea on the dropper post. I wonder if a conversation kit to adapt a standard seat post could be made. The 1805 does not have any hang up spots on the resistance knob. Too bad you lost the old pw. I'm sure there is a way to recover it!
Great video - Do you happen to know if all Sunny bikes have a really high adjustable seat height for tall people? Specifically, does the "Sunny Health & Fitness Evolution Pro II" (SF-B1986) also provide a similar seat height as the bikes in this video? Q. Hello from the UK. Finally got hold of a Sunny 1805 bike off Amazon UK. Now, any good value bike is like gold dust in the UK at the moment as we are in lockdown probably till this March. Please can you advise how I can add additional features like heart rate monitors ,speed, calorie, Candance? Hey dude, you mentioned that you're 6'5 and only 2 notches away from maximum saddle height.. Also not sure how "big" you are either, but I'm 6'9 and also "big" (325 lbs). Would these Sunny bikes really work for me? Or are you aware of other brand models that would work better for truly "big" guys like myself (as in heavy - I'm a LOT wider than you...)
Hi, Being a tall guy, I was hoping you could help me. I am 184 cm (6’1) tall with extra long legs. My new spin bike is great apart from one thing. The seat doesn’t go high enough. I know normal bikes have seat extenders but do spin bikes? If not, any hacks you could recommend? I have a LSG (SPG-220).
Neither of these bikes show you your cadence, in order to see cadence you need to buy a separate cadence sensor and hook it up to an app on your phone. I use the wahoo cadence sensor. Hope this helps
After a year of daily riding my B1002 c-clip came off BUT it appears undamaged ? When I get my shaft puller will the clip be able to get me back riding. The C clips are out of stock till May.
I’ve binged your videos, but I’m still undecided on a bike. I’m trying to find a bike that displays cadence and resistance. I’m realizing that resistance is hard to find on an affordable bike. I’m looking at no more than $900. Do you have any recommendations?? I’m leaning toward the schwinn ic4
the ic4 has all that you ask for in the price range too. thanks for watching my videos! the echelon connect sport also has the same metrics which im sure you've seen, but less expensive. the ic4 is the better bike though, but those water bottle holders are kind of annoying... lol, hope this helps..
We just got the sunny 1002. You mention a cadence monitor in most, if not all your vids. I’m new to cycling and I’m thinking of getting one but I’m wondering do I need a speed and cadence monitor or just cadence? From what I read Cadence is the speed at which you pedal, so does that make the speed monitor obsolete? I’m using it for weight loss and I’m wondering if tracking these metrics are going to help or if I should just get on and cycle. Also, what tablet holders do you recommend? Thanks! we use amzn.to/38QGHnv tablet holder cadence is more important for following a peloton class since they call out specific ranges to be in. speed is pretty irrelevant on indoor exercise bikes but could be beneficial as a gauge of how hard you are working, but i would argue a Heart rate monitor and cadence are your two most useful metrics

@@TailHappyTV Right now the synergy pro is same price (actually cheaper) then the 1805. If price is same what is the better value? Synergy has the screen with cadence but a smaller wheel at 40 pounds. But does have the Spd . But 1805 is more customizable and heavier wheel at 44 pounds.

I use the b1002 with the peloton app. I just estimate resistance. I am happy with it.

@@christinepowers3350 There's also a difference with the Schwinn pricing going up. At least what I've seen. Those prices are set by the third parties you are buying it from not sold by Amazon. Which of the time I checked are not available directly from Amazon warehouse which would mean they price them whatever and that's not Schwinn's fault. But the Sunny bike is sold by Amazon which means Sunny sets the pricing and they raised the prices. So a big difference between the 2 cases. Not sticking up for Schwinn because I don't own any of them

SF-B1877 seems to be a smaller version of synergy and synergy pro. Everything else seems to be very similar.

The written instructions were great- we didn't need to watch the videos, but it was good knowing that the option was there if we needed it. After we were able to get it set up, the boys each rode 3 miles and I rode 8 and the bike stayed quiet. The display is easy to reset, and you can put it on whichever setting you are using (time, distance, calories, etc). I will say that my butt is a little sore from the seat, but that could be because I haven't rode in a while. While it is comfortable for me, it was not comfortable with the seat position for my friend (could not move the seat back far enough and he slightly looked like a kid riding a tricycle that he had outgrown). He also said that the seat hurt his manly parts. We are going to look for a different seat that will be compatible with this bike for him.I did purchase the Wahoo Cadence sensor and strapped it to the crank of one of the pedals. This will sync with my Apple Watch, iPhone and will import data in to my Health app. Wahoo does have other sensors available other than cadence. I can also keep either my phone or my iPad on the display and they both feel pretty secure.

Yep bummed that the price of the 1805 increased by $170 to $769 but the 1002 price decreased to $334.99 on Amazon. You mentioned with the B1002 there’s maintenance with the leather resistance, what kind of maintenance is there? Thanks again for the videos! Still decided on which bike I want to buy and your videos are my go to for comparing bikes. I’m thinking about the Schwinn IC3 & IC4; Echelon Connect, and one of the Sunny bikes. I really like the B1002 for the price. The B1805 was a big contender but with the price increase I started comparing the Sunny Endurance and the Synergy and Synergy Pro. For maintenance, you might need oil the leather pad from time to time, or replace it

I'm torn between Joroto x2 and b1002. I'm new to spin bike so not sure if I should spend the $600 for the 1805. Joroto x2 is $440 and the B1002 is $386 on Amazon. The B1002 seems more solid but the x2 seems more smooth? I'm 5 ft 7 and 210lbs btw.
Your videos are really informative! I just purchased the sunny B1805 and wanted to know if you have a link to the RED spd clip plate that's featured in this video?? I want to have a dual pedal setup so my husband can also use it. I prefer clip-in like those in spin class. The amazon link you provided seems to be the screw in clip-on pedal?

Good reviews however you really need to mention the Q-factor size for the bikes. I have the SF-B1002, and while it is nice and sturdy, it has a massive Q-factor (215 mm I believe) which is way more than a regular road or mountain bike.

I have been looking at the sunny 1879 and sunny 1877. They are both magnetic tension. Would you recommend this over the leather or felt resistance ?
I am comparing them too. Seems the only difference being 29 vs 30 pound flying wheel.
@@xpy1999 I ended up purchasing the sunny 1877 it has great reviews and I think magnetic resistance from what I read is the way to go. If you are thinking of purchasing a bike from them I suggest getting it from their website they have a really awesome warranty and if you purchase through amazon it's only a year instead of 3 years

Is the resistance knob on the 1805 smooth, or are there a couple of “jerky” spots where it seems like it gets hung up.
My 1879 starts smooth, then about 4 turns in it feels like it’s cross threaded or something, then smooth again. Not a major complaint..just an annoyance.
One thing I would love nine makers to incorporate is a dropper post like on mountain bikes. I’ve had a few times where I almost impaled myself when I was out of the saddle and really working. Dropping the seat all the way would make me feel a lot more comfortable.
Interesting idea on the dropper post. I wonder if a conversation kit to adapt a standard seat post could be made. The 1805 does not have any hang up spots on the resistance knob. Too bad you lost the old pw. I'm sure there is a way to recover it!
Great video - Do you happen to know if all Sunny bikes have a really high adjustable seat height for tall people? Specifically, does the "Sunny Health & Fitness Evolution Pro II" (SF-B1986) also provide a similar seat height as the bikes in this video? How are you seeing cadence?
From the video I see the resistance is good enough. If anyone else has used it did it feel strong enough for you? I'm a 6'3, 235 guy! I did see a comment on another page that if you're a stronger rider its not enough. If I wanted to get stronger magnets how would I know what to buy?

Hey dude, you mentioned that you're 6'5 and only 2 notches away from maximum saddle height.. Also not sure how "big" you are either, but I'm 6'9 and also "big" (325 lbs). Would these Sunny bikes really work for me? Or are you aware of other brand models that would work better for truly "big" guys like myself (as in heavy - I'm a LOT wider than you...)

Being a tall guy, I was hoping you could help me. I am 184 cm (6’1) tall with extra long legs. My new spin bike is great apart from one thing. The seat doesn’t go high enough. I know normal bikes have seat extenders but do spin bikes? If not, any hacks you could recommend? I have a LSG (SPG-220).

Unfortunately you never showed where you see your cadence very important point missing and how you did the connection.....
Neither of these bikes show you your cadence, in order to see cadence you need to buy a separate cadence sensor and hook it up to an app on your phone. I use the wahoo cadence sensor. Hope this helps

After a year of daily riding my B1002 c-clip came off BUT it appears undamaged ? When I get my shaft puller will the clip be able to get me back riding. The C clips are out of stock till May.

We just got the sunny 1002. You mention a cadence monitor in most, if not all your vids. I’m new to cycling and I’m thinking of getting one but I’m wondering do I need a speed and cadence monitor or just cadence? From what I read Cadence is the speed at which you pedal, so does that make the speed monitor obsolete?
I’m using it for weight loss and I’m wondering if tracking these metrics are going to help or if I should just get on and cycle.
Also, what tablet holders do you recommend? Thanks!

cadence is more important for following a peloton class since they call out specific ranges to be in. speed is pretty irrelevant on indoor exercise bikes but could be beneficial as a gauge of how hard you are working, but i would argue a Heart rate monitor and cadence are your two most useful metrics

I heavily debated between the synergy pro and the 1805. If the 1805 wasn't on sale I probably would have got the synergy pro.

@@TailHappyTV Right now the synergy pro is same price (actually cheaper) then the 1805. If price is same what is the better value? Synergy has the screen with cadence but a smaller wheel at 40 pounds. But does have the Spd . But 1805 is more customizable and heavier wheel at 44 pounds.
