Hey, I had a question. I'm an international student currently in grade 12th, will be applying to UBC for the 2024 fall intake. Can we apply to the pharmacy program after high school itself or r we suppose to take a 2 year course in science with specific subject requirements and then apply for the pharmacy program? (I'm interested in hospital pharmacy where u get to interact with patients and stuff idk what it's called lol😹) and can u please make a video on your application process would be great ☺
yes, you need to do minimum 60 credits of coursework, where most of them are specific requirements such as two semesters of first-year calculus or 2 semesters of second-year Ochem (the equivalent of 20 courses - where a course is worth 3 credits at UBC, other institutions like uvic are 1.5).
Hi! Yes, like @Severed Connection mentioned, you do need at least 2 years of pre-requisites with specific courses mentioned on their website (pharmsci.ubc.ca/programs/entry-practice-pharmd-degree/admissions-information). I believe they made a couple changes to the admission requirements from the time I applied so it might be a bit different now, but I will try my best to make a video on the application process! And also I think that you have to be a permanent resident or a Canadian citizen to be able to apply for the pharmacy program at UBC. The website I provided should have all of the details for the application process and requirements. Goodluck!!
@@eunicerustico thank u so much. I did check the website and yes, the program is only for Canadians sadly🥲 I can't get into UBC but there r many other uni providing this program for international students as well I'll try there 🦾 and omg please do make the application video especially tips for the pre recorded interview cuz it's the same for all unis 🤝☺
