I don't fully understand why 'make dictionary' won't work to compile, but this tutorial fixed my last problems. I'm so happy to be done with this that I'm actually crying. Thank you.
this video was pretty helpful. Worth spending a little time on that hash function, and ways to implement it. 12:06 line 68 of your code, I believe you forgot to access the next attribute of the head node when checking to see if it is NULL. I believe it should be: if(table[hashnum]->next == NULL)
This message is for Giovanna. Followed your video on the speller problem set. My code seems to work well except for one error after I ran make speller. Code: FILE *DictionFile = fopen(dictionary, 'r'); Error: incompatible intenger to pointer conversion passing 'int' to parameter of type ' const char *' Any help will be appreciate it. Thanks
This error occurs when there is an incompatible integer to pointer conversion. In this case, it is caused by passing an 'int' value instead of a 'const char *' (string) value to the fopen function. The fopen function expects a string (file name) as the first argument, but an integer value was provided instead.

Very thanks to you!

At the end of the load function, besides closing the file, why do we not need to also free the temp node?
You should :)
we dont have a file name dictionary, we have a folder name dictionaries with two file small & large
You should work with those files then :) I believe they updated the problem from last year
you do, see at top of speller.c
#define DICTIONARY "dictionaries/large"

should the variable "countWord" be really a const?
It is an unsigned int if you check our solution :)
