    What I would do is:
    20% of 30% of 100
    30% of 100= 30
    20% of 30 =6

I think this is the right way to solve it.

i think as long as you properly understood the question and knew a proper method of solving it would turn out just fine

Yeah its right but if you see a more complex equation you have to go left to right so like Id go 20% of 30% which is 0.06 then multiply that by 100 and you get 6 aswell

This is just a multiplication problem with percentages -- no tricks involved. There is also more than one way to come up with the solution. I computed the answer mentally by using fractions (and shifting things around), for example.

Using fractions can be a much faster way to solve this coz all the 0s just cancel our and we are just left with 2×6=3

This is a case where I wouldn't bother converting the percentages into decimal numbers.
Knowing that 20% is a factor of 1/5 (i.e. you need to divide by 5), I'd either apply the 20% to 30% and get 6%, and then use the factor 100 to annul the percentage sign; or I'd do this latter step first, getting rid of the percentage sign of 30% and then calculate 30/5 = 6.
But that's just a matter preference.

In this case I would read 'right to left'...
    Step 1: take 30% of 100, which is 30
Step 2: take 20% of this, which is one-fifth
    So (1/5)*30 = 6
So I thought of it as nested brackets and was able to do it in my head:
    (20% * (30% * 100) )
    I hope that helps....

    You could also find 30 percenge of 100 =30 . then find 20 percent of 30 =66

  • @Brid727

    hear me out:
    this is just (20/100)*(3/100)*100
    (1/5)*(3/10)*100
    (3/50)*100
    3*2 = 6

  • @homosapien6031

20% of something is 1/5 of it. So either:
    30% of 100 is 30
    20% (1/5) of 30 = 6
    Or
    20% (1/5) of 30% is 6%
    6% of 100 is 6
Those are the two ways I would do it at least
